Vacation and Vacation Credits. 39.1 (a) An employee may take vacation leave of absence only to the limit of his/her accumulated vacation credits, up to forty (40) hours per week in a normal work week. An employee may not take vacation leave of absence during his/her first six (6) months service and his/her accumulated vacation credits shall be reduced by the vacation leave of absence taken.

Pay in lieu of vacation credits is payable on separation or on death of an employee from the Employer when an employee has been with the Employer for six (6) months or more.
