Vacation Entitlement and Holidays. 17.9.1Vacation Entitlement:‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ 17.9.1.1 A Member's Vacation Entitlement Year shall be based on service during the contract year from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. 17.9.1.2 Each Member is entitled annually to 22 working days of vacation. Members accrue vacation at the rate of 1.83 days per month. After 12 years of continuous service, each Member is entitled annually to 25 working days of vacation. After 24 years of continuous service, each Member is entitled annually to 30 working days of vacation. The Member will be paid during such vacations but there shall be no additional remuneration should the Member choose to work through all or part of the vacation period. 17.9.1.3 A Member appointed for at least one (1) year is entitled annually to 22 working days of vacation with the commencement of the appointment; a Member appointed to less than one (1) year is entitled to a prorated number of working days of vacation for the contract term; vacation days do not have to be earned or accrued before they can be taken. 17.9.1.4 In the case where a Member has contracted to teach on an overload basis in the term in which they have no assigned teaching duties, the Member shall be considered to have chosen to work through all or part of the vacation period, and no vacation entitlement shall be paid out under Article 17. 17.9.1.5 Members may take their vacation at any time provided that: (a) in the case of Faculty Members, the period of vacation does not conflict with the Member's scheduled teaching duties as provided for under this Agreement; Members whose appointment terminates on June 30 shall not be assigned teaching duties for the Spring Term; (b) in the case of Librarian Members, the Member has indicated the dates of vacation to their supervising AUL, otherwise to the UL, in advance and has obtained approval from the supervising AUL or UL for same; (c) vacations at other times shall be arranged only with the approval of the Xxxx, or where appropriate, the supervising AUL or UL, in advance. 17.9.1.6 In the case of a death of a Member, the University shall pay out any unused vacation entitlement accrued in the contract year in which the death occurs. For a Member with less than 12 years’ service, the amount of vacation entitlement to be paid out shall be at a rate of 1.83 days per month up to and including the month in which the death occurs.   • Vacation, Sick Leave and Holidays Executive shall be entitled to four (4) weeks (28 business days) of vacation, and also sick leave and holidays at full pay in accordance with the Company’s policies established and in effect from time to time.

  • Vacation and Holidays Executive will receive four weeks of paid vacation each year in addition to all holidays observed by the Company and its subsidiaries. Executive may carry over, in the aggregate, up to four weeks of unused vacation to a subsequent year. Any unused vacation time in excess of four weeks will not accumulate or carry over from one calendar year to the next. Each calendar year, Executive shall take not less than one (1) week vacation.

  • Vacations and Holidays The Executive will be entitled to four weeks paid vacation each Fiscal Year in accordance with the vacation policies of the Employer in effect for its executive officers from time to time. Vacation must be taken by the Executive at such time or times as approved by the Chairman of the Board or Chief Executive Officer. The Executive will also be entitled to the paid holidays set forth in the Employer's policies. Vacation days and holidays during any Fiscal Year that are not used by the Executive during such Fiscal Year may not be used in any subsequent Fiscal Year.

  • Vacation Entitlement i) A transferring employee will accrue vacation in accordance with the collective agreement of the designated employer. ii) A transferring employee will have pre-approved vacation requests honoured. iii) Vacation entitlement not used by the employee at the time of transfer shall transfer with the employee to the designated employer, if applicable. iv) Vacation scheduling will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the practice of the designated employer.

  • Vacation; Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Sick Leave Entitlement A permanent full-time employee shall earn paid sick leave at the rate of one and one-half (1½) days per month. Sick leave shall accumulate to a total of eighty-five (85) working days. Permanent part-time employees shall be entitled to sick leave on a pro-rata basis.

  • Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave During the Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation, paid holidays and sick leave in accordance with the Company's standard policies for its senior executive officers.

  • Vacation During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the most favorable plans, policies, programs and practices of the Company and its affiliated companies as in effect for the Executive at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as in effect generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • Annual Vacation Entitlement (a) An Employee shall be entitled to receive annual vacation leave with pay: (i) each year during her first forty-eight (48) months of service at the rate of one and one-quarter (1 1/4) days for each month of service; and (ii) each year after forty-eight (48) months of service at the rate of one and two-thirds (1 2/3) days for each month of service; and (iii) each year after one hundred and sixty-eight (168) months of service at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2-1/12) days for each month of service; and (iv) each year after two hundred and eighty-eight (288) months of service at the rate of two and one half (2 ½) days for each month of service. (b) An Employee who, as of February 19, 2001, has earned entitlement to more vacation than provided for in Article 17.01(a) of the collective agreement by virtue of her terms and conditions of employment with a predecessor employer shall retain that entitlement. Any future increase in vacation entitlement for such Employees shall be pursuant to Article 17.01(a).

  • HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 165. 1. A holiday is calculated based on an eight hour day.
