Common use of Vacation Entitlements Clause in Contracts

Vacation Entitlements. All Regular Employees shall receive an annual vacation with pay on the following basis: a) First Calendar Year of Service (i) Employees during the first (1st) calendar year of service shall accumulate one (1) working day for each completed month of employment, or major fraction thereof, to a maximum of ten (10) working days. (ii) Employees who have been employed for less than a calendar year, but are on the payroll at January 1st, shall be considered to have completed their first (1st) calendar year of service. b) Second Calendar Year of Service and thereafter Employees shall be granted a vacation with pay in accordance with the following schedule: 2nd Year - three (3) weeks. 6th Year - four (4) weeks. 11th Year - four point four (4.4) weeks. 14th Year - five (5) weeks. 19th Year - six (6) weeks. 25th Year - seven (7) weeks. Note: Vacation entitlements are pro-rated based on hours worked for Regular Part-time employees.
