Vehicle Maintenance Mechanics. If, due to shortage of work or funds, or change in the organization, it becomes necessary to lay off any employees, those with the shortest period of continuous service shall be laid off first. Recall shall be in the order of last off, first on.

Vehicle Maintenance Mechanics. In order to have employees available to respond to winter conditions on weekends and nights, the Division shall establish a voluntary stand-by list. Mechanics shall voluntarily sign up on the list for a weekend and/or a holiday during the winter season. When more than one person signs up to be on stand-by for a weekend and/or holiday, the most senior person shall receive the stand-by pay. Employees actually placed in weekend stand-by status shall be compensated at the rate of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour for each twenty-four hour period of the weekend. The City agrees to provide a cellular phone or pager to employees who are on stand-by.
Vehicle Maintenance Mechanics. The Employer agrees to furnish a locker for each employee. Mechanics having completed one (1) year of service shall be eligible to receive a tool allowance of $800.00 for fiscal year FY16. The tool allowance shall increase by $15 each year of the contract through FY19. Employees may carry over up to $2,445.00 of their tool allowance during the first three years of the contract, but cannot accumulate more than $1,675.00 in the last year of the contract. Mechanics will be allowed to purchase tools through City approved vendors pursuant to purchase order or be reimbursed for the purchase of tools for performance of work-related duties and solely to perform repairs on City vehicles and equipment only up to the amount of this allowance, from a vendor by submitting receipts for approval by the Vehicle Maintenance Superintendent as being work-related purchases by April 30 of each fiscal year. The employee has the responsibility to establish that the purchase is for a work-related tool. Tool vendors shall be permitted to visit the work site during regular working hours, provided the visits shall be limited to a reasonable amount of time needed to complete transactions involving the purchase and use of tools. The City will provide City self-insurance or purchase tool loss insurance for the mechanics up to the amount of $30,000 with a $250.00 deductible per employee per incident. The loss within the deductible range is to be paid by the mechanic. Employees will be required to provide an itemized list and cost of tool inventory to be eligible to claim the replacement value. Employees receiving a tool allowance shall have available on demand at the Vehicle Maintenance facility all tools purchased with tool allowance for use to perform repairs on City vehicles and equipment.

  • Vehicle Maintenance (a) The Company agrees to maintain all vehicles up to standards which will insure that the employees who operate such vehicles are not exposed to such hazards as arise out of lack of proper maintenance. Each employee who operates a Company vehicle bears the direct responsibility for its safe and proper operation. Each such employee is also responsible for reporting any malfunction of equipment, mechanical defect, and any accident involving the vehicle.

  • Road Maintenance Purchaser shall maintain roads, commensurate with Purchaser’s use, in accor- dance with Road Maintenance Requirements in C5.31 and the Road Maintenance Specifications. Performance of road maintenance work by Purchaser may be required prior to, during, or after each period of use. The timing of work accomplishment shall be based on Purchaser’s Op- erating Schedule under B6.31. When two or more commercial users are simultane- ously using the same road where Forest Service is not requiring maintenance deposits, the commercial users will develop maintenance responsibilities and arrangements for accomplishing the work. Forest Service must agree to this plan. If the commercial users cannot agree on main- tenance responsibilities, Forest Service shall resolve the differences. If Purchaser elects to use different roads than those listed in C5.31, Forest Service shall determine Pur- chaser’s commensurate share of road maintenance and revise road maintenance deposits in C5.32. If Forest Service cannot perform its full commensu- rate share of road maintenance, Forest Service shall make a cash payment to Purchaser for performance of such work. Unless agreed in writing, prehaul maintenance shall be completed on any portion of road prior to hauling on that portion. Maintenance, as used in this contract, does not include road reconstruction or repairs of an extraordi- nary nature.

  • Site Maintenance The authorized area shall be maintained in a neat, clean, and safe condition, free of any solid waste, debris, or litter, except as specifically authorized herein.

  • Software Maintenance Subrecipient shall apply security patches and upgrades in a timely manner and keep virus software up-to-date on all systems on which State data may be stored or accessed.

  • REPAIRS; MAINTENANCE The Owner hereby gives power to the Agent to supervise repairs, improvements, alterations, and decorations to the Property as well as purchase and pay bills for services and supplies. The Agent shall obtain prior approval of the Owner for all expenditures over $ for any single item.
