Vehicle Recovery. The Company will indemnify the Insured under the Terms and Conditions of this Insurance whilst the Insured Vehicle is towing, lifting or transporting a vehicle for recovery purposes provided that the vehicle is secured in a manner which complies with the legal requirements of the Road Traffic Act. This Insurance will apply to any vehicle being towed, lifted or transported. It is further declared and agreed that General Exclusion 1(c) of this Insurance relating to use for Hire and Reward shall not apply to use in connection with Insured’s business or occupation.
Vehicle Recovery. If the vehicle cannot be repaired at the scene of the breakdown and cannot be repaired the same day at a suitable garage, we will arrange and pay the cost of taking the vehicle, you and up to 6 passengers from the place where the vehicle has broken down to any one place you choose. If the vehicle breaks down at your home or within a quarter of a mile of your home, we will arrange help and pay call-out fees and labour charges needed to start the vehicle. If the vehicle cannot be repaired quickly at the scene of the breakdown, we will pay the cost of taking the vehicle to the nearest available garage (up to a maximum of 20 miles).

For further details please refer to the terms and conditions. This Agreement applies to vehicles which are up to 10 years old and have covered less than 100,000 miles at the Agreement start date. What is Covered During the specified period, almost all of the original manufacturer’s mechanical and electrical components are guaranteed against total failure except those listed under exclusions. The full terms and conditions are set out in this Agreement document. Diagnosis Reasonable diagnostic charges form part of a valid claim under this Agreement as agreed with Our claim’s engineers. Vehicle Recovery. If you do not return the Vehicle to the rental location, abandon the Vehicle, or we have to repossess the Vehicle, then a $500 recovery charge, plus $5 per mile for every mile between the renting location and the place where the Vehicle is recovered, plus any additional recovery expenses we incur;

Vehicle Recovery. If you have a valid claim, we will pay up to £70 including VAT but not including any tolls or ferry charges, towards the cost of towing your immobilised vehicle to an authorised repairer. The contribution towards towing costs must be claimed in conjunction with production of a VAT receipt and cannot be claimed following service from an existing roadside assistance policy. Vehicle Recovery. The Auto-Trail warranties will not cover the costs of transporting, towing or moving the motorhome to or from the place of repair. Any such costs (whatever the method used) will be your responsibility. • Incorrect Fitting – The Auto-Trail warranties will not cover water ingress through a component replaced by a dealer/repairer that has been incorrectly fitted.

If the vehicle breaks down while it is more than 25 miles from your home and it cannot be repaired at the roadside or at a garage during the same day, we will refund the cost of alternative travel arrangements or necessary emergency overnight accommodation. The most we will pay will be up to £150 for alternative road, rail travel or car hire or one night’s hotel accommodation for you and up to 4 passengers. (The amount we will refund will only be for the rooms. We will not pay any amount for meals or drinks). Before you arrange alternative travel or accommodation you must call us for our agreement. We will only refund amounts covered by this insurance if we receive valid invoices and receipts. If your vehicle breaks down, any attached caravan (or small trailer not more than 8 metres (26 feet) long) and 3 meters high (9.8 feet) and 2.3 (7.5 feet) meters wide used for private purposes will be entitled to the same service as the vehicle, as long as it is attached to the vehicle by a standard 50 millimetre (2 inch) towing coupling. Whilst we hope that your travel period will be incident free, if your vehicle breaks down, help and assistance is available by calling the 24-hour English speaking emergency telephone service. Try to call from a place where it is easy to call you back. Please note that it is not always possible to provide automatic hire cars or accessories such as bike racks, luggage racks or tow bars. Please read the details carefully to ensure that you are fully covered, and remember to follow any rules and procedures laid down in respect of servicing the vehicle and making a claim. (See General Conditions 4 and 11). This insurance will provide the benefits described below if your vehicle breaks down and cannot be driven as a result of a mechanical or electrical breakdown (failures or breakages) results in you not being able to drive the vehicle.
