WCB LEAVE WITH PAY. 1. Where a Teacher suffers from a disease or incurs personal injury (which disease, illness or injury is hereinafter called the "disability") and he/she gains compensation under the Workers' Compensation Act, he/she shall not be required to use his/her sick leave credits for time lost.

WCB LEAVE WITH PAY. An employee prevented from performing their regular work with the Employer on account of an occupational illness or accident that is recognized by the Workers' Compensation Board as compensable within the meaning of the Compensation Act, shall receive from the Employer the difference between the amount payable by the Workers' Compensation Board and their regular salary to a maximum of six (6) months, provided that such employee shall not be entitled to use their sick leave credits for time lost during the said six (6) month period by reason of any such disability.

  • Leave With Pay Compassionate leave of absence with pay shall be granted for three (3) work days. Up to two (2) additional days with pay shall be granted for travelling time when this is warranted in the judgement of the Employer.

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY Sick leave with pay for employees shall be determined in the following manner:

  • Examination Leave With Pay At the Employer's discretion, examination leave with pay may be granted to an employee for the purpose of writing an examination which takes place during the employee's scheduled hours of work, where the course of study is directly related to the employee's duties or will improve his qualifications.

  • Bereavement Leave With Pay For the purpose of this clause, the definition of immediate family will include the relatives of a common law spouse in the same manner as would be applied to the relatives of a spouse. For the purpose of this clause, immediate family is defined as father, mother, (or alternatively step-father, stepmother or xxxxxx parent), brother, sister, spouse, child, stepchild, or xxxx of the employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparents and other relatives permanently residing in the employee's household or with whom the employee permanently resides.

  • Personnel Selection Leave With Pay Where an employee participates in a personnel selection process, including the appeal process where applicable, for a position in the Public Service or in the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, as defined in the Public Service Labour Relations Act, the employee is entitled to leave with pay for the period during which the employee's presence is required for purposes of the selection process, and for such further period as the Employer considers reasonable for the employee to travel to and from the place where his presence is so required.
