WEEKEND NURSE. 26.00 In the event that the Employer wishes to introduce a Weekend Nurse position, the provisions of the Acute Care Collective Agreement shall form the basis of the applicable position for this Employer.

WEEKEND NURSE. 1. A Weekend Nurse Schedule may be implemented in order to meet the Employer’s need for weekend nurse coverage and to accommodate the preference of individual nurses for a weekend schedule. When the Employer creates a new Weekend Nurse position, or when an existing Weekend Nurse position becomes vacant, the Employer will post the position in accordance with Article 10.01.
WEEKEND NURSE. 29.00 Where the Employer determines that a permanent Weekend Nurse position is to be filled, the position is to be posted in accordance with Article 12. The trial period provision of the Collective Agreement as set out in Article 12.11 shall apply. If the Nurse’s trial period or the Weekend Nurse Trial does not work out the Nurse will revert to pre-trial status as indicated in the Article 12.11.‌
WEEKEND NURSE. 26:00 The provisions of Memorandum of Agreement #8 form the basis for the Weekend Nurse position between the Parties at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home.
WEEKEND NURSE. 25.00 Weekend Nurse Positions In the event that the Employer wishes to introduce a Weekend Nurse position, the provisions of the Acute Care Collective Agreement shall form the basis of the applicable position for this Employer. This provision is not applicable to a Casual Nurse (except a Casual Nurse while in a Temporary Position).
WEEKEND NURSE. The Parties agree that, as soon as reasonably possible following the signing of the Collective Agreement, a process will be agreed upon for discussion and development of a Memorandum of Agreement, if possible, to regulate the Weekend Nurse. The principles relied on by the Parties during such discussions will be as follows:

  • Weekend Work (a) Overtime work on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of time and a half (1.5) for the first two (2) hours and double time thereafter, provided that all overtime worked after 12 noon on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of double time.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.

  • Weekends Off (Full-Time and Regular Part-Time) In scheduling shifts the Hospital will endeavour to arrange schedules so as to provide for a minimum of eight (8) weekends off in every twenty-four (24) week period, and, in any event, at least one (1) weekend off in each three (3) week period. Where a weekend off is not granted within a three week period, time worked on such third weekend and every subsequent weekend shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half. This standard shall not apply where:

  • Sick Leave Verification The Employer will not require verification for absences of less than 3 consecutive work days. Such verification or proof may be given to the supervisor/manager or Human Resources according to departmental policy. The Employer will not make unreasonable requests for sick leave verification.
