Wet Weather. The parties to the Agreement will collectively work towards the minimisation of lost time due to inclement weather. Further to this, the parties undertake to adopt the following principles with regards to inclement weather and the idle time inclement weather creates: (a) All parties will adopt a reasonable approach as to what constitutes inclement weather before any stand down actions is carried out. (b) Nominally the relevant Supervisor in conjunction with the employees and when appropriate, the Safety Representative will assess the weather conditions and where necessary, transfer to other work activities or training. (c) Employees shall accept transfer to an area not affected by inclement weather where useful work is available provided the useful work is within the employee’s skill, competence and training. (d) Where useful work is not available the use of non-productive time shall be utilised for activities such as relevant and meaningful skill development, safety training, presentation and participation in learning, planning and reprogramming of the Project or any other useful utilisation of non-productive time as the Company may reasonably require. (e) Where all avenues for training and useful alternative work have been exhausted, an employer may stand down employees without pay for such a period, as useful work is not available.
