Where an employee in a redundant position refuses to accept a transfer for which he/she is qualified, the employee shall be terminated with the appropriate severance pay as stated in Article 13.14 below.
Where an employee applies for a leave of absence without pay, it will be granted subject to approval of the Employer.
Where an employee has use of a City of Prospect Motor Vehicle, the employee may retain the right to use such vehicle while on paid parental leave subject to the Director’s approval.
Where an off-duty employee is called-out and has already been compensated for the three (3) hours of pay outlined in Article 10.01, said employee is not eligible for the three (3) hours of pay again unless more than three (3) hours has elapsed between the start of the first incident and the commencement of the second incident of call-out.
Where an employee representative makes a written requirement for payment of piece-work to the enterprise or its representative, the enterprise must reply to such requirement within six work- days.
Where an. Employee intends to resume her employment with the Company upon the expiration of the leave granted in accordance with the provisions of Article 16 the Company shall reinstate her to her former position or provide her with alternative work of a comparable nature at not less than the same wages and benefits.
Where an employee is on assignment at a location beyond fifty (50) kilometers of the City of Edmonton during a normal meal period, the employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of the meal upon the presentation of a receipt to the following maximums: Breakfast $12.00 Lunch $14.00 Dinner $24.00 19.4 The amounts set out in Article 19.3 shall be paid in U.S. dollars for trips to the United States. Employees travelling as part of their work schedule who are required to stay overnight shall be allowed individual accommodations where possible for such stays.
Where an employee accepts an offer of employment with the transferee, their employment with MPI shall cease on a date specified by MPI, provided that date shall not be earlier than the date that their work transfers to the new employer. The employee shall not be entitled to any severance or redundancy or any other payment whatsoever from MPI.
Where an excess employee agrees to transfer to a position of a lower substantive classification level, the employee will continue to receive their existing salary for the remainder of the retention period.
Where an employee who is assigned to work on a Saturday exchanges her Saturday assignment with another employee who was not assigned to work on that Saturday, such Saturday work shall not be considered as having been performed "at the direction of the Company" by either employee.
