Where Long Service Leave accrual still applies in accordance with the provisions of the Enterprise Agreement, it is only payable when: i The employee retires due to: a age, as determined by the State Authorities Superannuation Board; or b ill health. ii Employment is terminated by Council for cause other than misconduct.

Where Long Service Leave is taken later than one year after the date the entitlement accrued because of a request from the teacher, such leave shall be paid at the salary level applying at the end of the first year after the date the entitlement accrued. Where Long Service leave is delayed at the request of the employer, leave shall be paid at the rate applying at the time the leave is taken.

  • Long Service Leave All employees shall be entitled to long service leave in accordance with the relevant State Legislation. The employer will ensure that any registration necessary for the purposes of portable long service schemes will be undertaken.

  • Taking of Long Service Leave (a) The employer shall give to each employee at least one month's notice of the date from which it is proposed that the employee's long service leave shall be given and taken.   • Public Service Leave ‌‌ An employee who is elected or appointed to public office shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay not to exceed 180 days per year in accordance with state law, a copy of which is attached in Addendum b.

  • Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.
