Academic Administrator definition

Academic Administrator means an individual who holds a tenured or probationary faculty appointment or a professional librarian appointment, and who holds an administrative appointment, and by virtue of that administrative appointment, is excluded from the bargaining unit for the duration of their administrative term.
Academic Administrator means a person who holds an academic administrative position (ie: Xxxx of Faculty, Director of School (with the exception of the Director of the School of Nursing), University Librarian, Academic Vice-President & Xxxxxxx, President), or a person authorized to act in that capacity who has academic rank but is excluded from the bargaining unit for the duration of their appointment.
Academic Administrator means an administrator whose administrative appointment is academic in nature. A non-academic administrator shall not become an academic administrator solely by virtue of being assigned to evaluate faculty and librarians in accordance with Article VIII, VIII-A or VIII-C.

More Definitions of Academic Administrator

Academic Administrator means a dean, vice president or similar employee of the institution whose primary responsibility is to provide administrative services in support of education or training offered by the institution, and does not include the President;

Academic administrator appointments include but are not limited to Academic Department Chairs, Deans and/or Directors ofan academic program of study. Academic administrator appointments are non‐classified, at‐will appointments. Academic administrator compensation is not governed by the West Virginia Higher Education Compensation Management Program; compensation is determined at the discretion of the President or designee.
