Requests for Information (RFI). In the event the Contract Documents are not complete, definite, and clear, the Contractor shall request the Design Professional in writing for additional instructions and shall furnish the Owner a copy of the RFI. With reasonable promptness but not more than five days thereafter, the Design Professional shall furnish complete, definite, and clear instructions in writing, or by means of drawings, or both. In the event such additional instructions are given orally for expediency, they shall be confirmed in writing or by drawings or both within five days following the oral instructions. Any such additional instructions shall be consistent with the Contract Documents and reasonably inferable therefrom. The Work shall be executed in conformity with the aforesaid instructions. The Design Professional shall furnish the Owner a copy of all additional instructions issued to the Contractor. If, because of events beyond its reasonable control, the Design Professional is not able to meet the specified time period, then it is entitled to ask for additional time from the Owner.

Requests for Information (RFI). If included in the scope of services, XXXXXXX will provide, with reasonable promptness, written responses to requests from any contractor for clarification, interpretation or information on the requirements of the Contract Documents. If Contractor’s RFI’s are, in XXXXXXX’x professional opinion, for information readily apparent from reasonable observation of field conditions or review of the Contract Documents, or are reasonably inferable therefrom, XXXXXXX shall be entitled to compensation for Additional Services for XXXXXXX’x time in responding to such requests. CLIENT may wish to make the Contractor responsible to the CLIENT for all such charges for additional services as described in this article.
Requests for Information (RFI). 6.1 The CM will be responsible for developing and implementing an RFI form for use on the project utilizing Primavera Contract Manager software. 6.2 The CM will be responsible for logging and reviewing all RFIs prior to submission to the OWNER and the Project Designer. The CM is to insure that the RFIs submitted are appropriate and not frivolous. 6.3 The CM shall be responsible for tracking and monitoring all RFIs throughout the Construction Phase in a timely manner until they are processed by the Project Designer and/or the OWNER. 6.4 The CM shall include RFIs as an agenda topic at all OWNER meetings and advise the OWNER immediately of any delays in their process. All responses to the RFIs that have an added cost impact shall also be discussed with the OWNER.
Requests for Information (RFI). (a) Contractor shall submit a written request, sequentially numbered, to HFC, Architect or Consultant seeking verification that Contractor’s proposed solution to the issue or matter that is the subject of the RFI is an acceptable solution. Upon receipt, HFC, Architect or Consultant may either accept Contractor’s proposed solution or propose an alternative solution. HFC shall be entitled to deduct from the Contract Amount amounts paid to Architect or Consultant for Architect or Consultant to evaluate and respond to Contractor’s RFI’s, where such information was available to Contractor from a careful study and comparison of the Contract Documents, field conditions, other HFC provided information, Contractor prepared coordination drawings, and/or prior Project correspondence or documentation.
