Terminated Vested Participant definition

Terminated Vested Participant means a Vested Participant who terminates employment prior to his Early Retirement Date.

Terminated Vested Participant means a former Eligible Employee who has incurred a Termination of Employment, who retains a vested interest in accordance with Section 6.1, and who is not currently receiving benefit payments under the Plan.

• Subject to Section 4.4, any Participant or Former Participant whose Normal Retirement Date, Early Retirement Date, Deferred Retirement Date, Supplemental Early Retirement Date or any Terminated Vested Participant whose termination date occurs on or after January 1, 1989, shall be eligible to receive the Standard Benefit as provided in Section 5.1, unless specifically designated by the Administrative Committee to receive the Special Short Service Benefit as provided in Section 5.3.

• Where a Former Participant subsequently retires or becomes a Terminated Vested Participant, the benefit amount payable under this Plan shall be calculated in accordance with this Section 5.5.

• In the event that no appropriate applications are received, funds may be held and awarded the following year.

• An Active Participant who is vested in any portion of his Account and terminates employment prior to his Normal Retirement Date shall be deemed a Terminated Vested Participant.

• Each Participant, Retired Participant, Terminated Vested Participant, Beneficiary, Contingent Annuitant, and Spouse entitled to benefits under the Plan must submit to the Committee or its designee his post office address and each change of post office address.

More Definitions of Terminated Vested Participant

Terminated Vested Participant means a Participant who is entitled to benefits under the provisions of Section 5.3 (Severance from Service After Vesting).

Terminated Vested Participant means former Employees who are entitled at some future date to the distribution of benefits from this Plan, including, but not limited to, terminated vested participants under the ESOP who had ESOP Accounts as of December 31, 2000, all of which continue to be maintained under this Plan effective January 1, 2001.

Terminated Vested Participant means a Member who has terminated employment with an Affiliated Employer for reasons other than death or retirement, at any time after he has attained a non-forfeitable interest in his Accrued Benefit in accordance with Section 9.2 or Section 9.3, whichever is applicable.

Terminated Vested Participant means a Participant who is entitled to benefits under the provisions of Section 5.3 (Mid-Career Benefit For Severance From Service After Vesting) or Section 5.4 (Senior Executive Supplement For Severance From Service After Vesting).

Terminated Vested Participant means a participant who terminates employment as an Employee as defined in this Plan with the City in either the Police Department or Fire Department with 10 or more Years of Vesting Service but less than 20 Years of Vesting Service and who is under age 55 at the time of such termination of employment.

Terminated Vested Participant means a Participant who had a Break-in-Service after completing the requirements to become vested in his Accrued Benefit and before becoming a Retiree.

Terminated Vested Participant means any former state or local employee who has five or more years of creditable service with any retirement plan administered by the Virginia Retirement System but due to age restrictions was not able to receive an immediate annuity. These individuals cannot currently be employed by or be retired from a local employer.
