Academic Standing Clause Samples
Academic Standing. 5.1. To be eligible to participate in a sport, the student athlete must meet OSAA’s academic eligibility which require that the student athlete:
5.1.1. Has passed a minimum five (5) classes the semester immediately prior to participation.
5.1.2. Is making satisfactory progress toward graduation.
5.1.3. Is enrolled in and passing minimum of five (5) classes during the semester in which they are participating. *Individual programs may implement academic requirements that exceed the minimum district/OSAA expectations.
5.2. Any athlete not maintaining the standards outlined in Section 5 of this policy, may be assigned by the coach or school administrator to a supervised study program and required to submit a weekly grade check demonstrating improvement.
5.2.1. Any athlete submitting a weekly grade check indicating worsening grades may be deemed ineligible to participate by a school administrator until the student athlete can demonstrate they are meeting the academic requirements as outlined in section 5.1.
5.2.2. Unexcused absences from the supervised study program may result in a school administrator suspending the student athlete from participation in contests and/or remove the student athlete from athletic program(s).
5.2.3. Student athletes who fail to abide and comply with the criteria outlined in Sections 5.2 of this policy may be deemed ineligible to participate in athletic program(s) by the school administrator.
Academic Standing. Resident Assistant must be full time students and must maintain a minimum 2.50 semester and cumulative grade point average. A RA will be placed on probation if the semester or cumulative GPA falls below 2.50 at any time. A RA should not be on academic probation with Campus Life for more than two consecutive semesters.
Academic Standing. Students must be in good academic standing as outlined in EWU’s published in EWU’s academic policy AP 303-21.
Academic Standing. Partner institution will only accept students in transfer who provide a letter of good standing from the CUSD Induction Program.
Academic Standing. The Student is expected to maintain good academic standing during their studies with AMIDEAST. This includes regular attendance of classes and other academic components of the Program. If the Student is accepted for an academic year Program or a summer Program following participation in a semester or academic year Program, the Student must complete the first term in good academic standing to enroll in the subsequent Program. A Student intending to participate in multiple terms must participate in the Program through the official end date and complete all academic work from the first term to be considered in good academic standing at the conclusion of the first term and continue to the second term.
Academic Standing. 20.1 Students in Pathway Programs must maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) and earn grades of C or better in all courses (B or better in major courses). Minimum cumulative Grade Point Averages range from 2.5 to 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. If in a given semester a student’s cumulative GPA falls below the required minimum cumulative GPA or a student’s grades do not meet minimum requirements, the student will be ineligible to register for future Program classes unless granted academic probationary status by the University, which the University may grant in its sole discretion.
20.2 A Pathway student may be granted first-time academic probationary status following the first semester their cumulative GPA falls below the required minimum cumulative GPA or their course grades fall below the requirements. If the student granted first-time academic probation does not raise their cumulative GPA to the required minimum or above and replace their grades with the required minimum grade or higher by the end of their first-time probationary semester the University may, in its sole discretion, grant the student continued academic probationary status. Special academic probationary status may be granted by the University in its sole discretion to a student who has had multiple probationary semesters, or is reinstated after academic dismissal.
20.3 Students in Academic English must maintain a minimum semester Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and earn grades of C or better in all courses. Academic Standing. All Graduate Assistants must maintain the minimum GPA set by their graduate program to remain eligible for employment. A GPA below the minimum will result in one semester of probation. At the end of the
Academic Standing a) Grade point average requirements In accordance with each university policy, the students must maintain a minimum grade point average or better for all coursework he/she has taken.
b) Verification process for program completion The students must apply for the degree during the term for which they complete all requirements for the degree. Final approval of degree completion will be provided by the Office of Graduate Studies and the Office of the University Registrar at both institutions (as the case may be).

21.3 Deficit points are calculated by subtracting the GPA hours attempted multiplied by 2 from earned Quality Points. Quality Points – 2(GPA Hours) = Deficit Points.
