Apprentice Rate. (a) Apprentices shall be paid a progressive increasing scale of Taxable Net Wages based upon their respective percentage of Journeypersons Taxable Net Wage as follows: (b) Full fringe benefit contributions shall be made on behalf of all Apprentices with the exception of Pension, Annuity and Vacation/Holiday; such contributions shall be based on their respective percentage of Journeyman contributions.

Apprentice Rate. May 21, 2004 Xxxxx Xxxxxxx UFCW Local 401 0000 0xx Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0 Dear Xxxxx: As I indicated in our meeting today, Maple Leaf Potatoes will be creating an apprentice rate for individuals in the Mechanic B job rate participating in an apprenticeship program. When the Company requires an employee to obtain a ticketed trade, these employees will be eligible for the apprentice rate. The apprentice rate will be paid as follows: • After successful completion of the first year of apprenticing an additional $0.50 per hour; • After successful completion of the second year of apprenticing an additional $0.50 per hour; • After successful completion of the third year of apprenticing an additional $1.00 per hour; and • After successful completion of the fourth year of apprenticing, individuals will be paid the Mechanic A rate. This change in the pay rate is being made as per the Collective Agreement, Article 7 (1), and will be effective May 21, 2004.   • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure compliance with this Article and with Labor Code Section 1777.5 for all apprenticeable occupations. 6.36.2 Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1777.5 if that Section applies to this Contract as indicated above, the Contractor and any subcontractors under him employing workers in any apprenticeable craft or trade in performing any work under this Contract shall apply to the applicable joint apprenticeship committee for a certificate approving the Contractor or subcontractor under the applicable apprenticeship standards and fixing the ratio of apprentices to journeymen employed in performing the work. 6.36.3 Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1777.5 if that Section applies to this Contract as indicated above, he Contractor and any subcontractor under him may be required to make contributions to the apprenticeship program. 6.36.4 The Contractor and all subcontractors under him shall comply with Labor Code Section 1777.6 which Section forbids certain discriminatory practices in the employment of apprentices.

  • Penal Rates (a) Weekend rate - applies to ordinary time (other than overtime) worked after midnight Friday/Saturday until midnight Sunday/Monday shall be paid at time one half (T0.5) in addition to the ordinary hourly rate of pay. (b) Public Holiday rate – applies to those hours which are worked on the public holiday. This shall be paid at time one (T1) in addition to the ordinary hourly rate of pay. (See clause 12.4-12.8 for further clarification.) (c) Night rate – applies to ordinary hours of duty (other than overtime) that fall between 2000hrs and until the completion of a rostered night duty from midnight Sunday/Monday to midnight Friday/Saturday and shall be paid at quarter time (T0.25) in addition to the ordinary hourly rate of pay. (d) Overtime and weekend/public holiday or night rates shall not be paid in respect of the same hours, the higher rate will apply.
