Assigning of Overtime a) It is recognized that the Employer will require overtime from time to time due to the nature of the business.
Assigning of Overtime. The District shall distribute and rotate overtime among the 23 unit members at particular sites and among same job classifications. Overtime rotational boards 24 shall be established and prominently displayed in each department or site. The District shall give a 1 minimum of seventy-two (72) hours notice to unit members of impending overtime whenever the 2 District is aware of the need for such overtime at least seventy-two (72) hours beforehand. 3 The District will make every effort to use campus supervisors at extracurricular and athletic 4 activities for security purposes. These assignments for campus supervisors will be rotated among 5 available campus supervisors. All hours worked in these assignments will be paid at the unit 6 member’s regular overtime rate, if applicable.

  • Banking of Overtime (i) Tour Workers who work in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours shall have the option of receiving the overtime premium on the basis of this Section or of receiving straight time for hours in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours and taking equivalent time off in units of not less than four (4) hours at the hourly rate for the job when the work was performed, at a time suitable to the employee and the Company during the contract year. Any overtime remaining at the end of the contract year in which it is banked may be carried over to the next contract year for purposes of taking equivalent time off. If equivalent time off is not taken by the end of the contract year following the contract year in which it is earned, the Company shall pay the deferred one-half premium pay. Tour Workers who choose to bank overtime may later re-elect to receive the deferred one-half premium pay.

  • Recording of Overtime Employees shall record starting and finishing times for overtime worked in a form determined by the Employer.

  • Sharing of Overtime Overtime work shall be allocated equitably to qualified employees considering their availability and location.

  • Scheduling of Overtime In any case where no employee is available to work a shift or the extension of a shift at straight time, and the Employer thereupon determines that it is necessary to assign the work on an overtime basis, the following provisions will govern the assignment of the overtime.

  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within ninety (90) calendar days of the work week in which the overtime was earned or, with the employee’s agreement, within 12 months of that work week.

  • Assignment of Overtime (a) In assigning overtime work, the Agency agrees to consider any circumstances which might cause such an assignment to be an unusual burden upon the employee. When such circumstances do exist, the employee shall not be required to work unless his/her absence would cause the Agency to be unable to meet its responsibilities.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Computation of Overtime In computing overtime a period of thirty (30) minutes or less shall be counted as one-half (½) hour and a period of more than thirty (30) minutes but less than sixty (60) minutes shall be counted as one (1) hour.

  • Payment of Overtime 5.5.1 Subject to the provisions of this sub-clause, all work performed outside of the ordinary hours of any day, Monday to Friday, inclusive, will be paid for at the rate of time and one half for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter. Casual Employees will be entitled to the appropriate all- purpose penalty rates and their 25% casual loading as identified in clause 2.1.2.
