Employees will receive notification of the legislatively mandated annual trainings they are required to complete and the deadline to complete these trainings at the beginning of the school year. In order to be eligible to receive the $240 training stipend, employees must complete all legislatively mandated annual trainings mandatory online trainings within 30 calendar days of the date from when they receive notification of these trainings. Employees who do not complete the legislatively mandated annual trainings within the 30-calendar day time period as described above, will not be eligible to be paid the $240 stipend, but will still be required to complete these trainings as soon as possible during their work hours. Additional trainings, other than the legislatively mandated annual trainings, may be required for specific job classifications. However, these trainings are not included in this compensation arrangement.

Compensation During Required Training Periods. A unit member required by the District to engage in training of any kind shall be compensated for time spent in such training and shall be reimbursed for course fees, textbook or supply costs. Any costs of travel shall be compensated as provided in Article 8.12

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave.
