SAFETY EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. County Code Section 2.53.020(a), Allowance-Amounts shall continue to provide: Each safety employee in the Sheriff’s Department hired on or after August 10, 1973 shall receive from the County at the time when the employee is required to purchase the equipment listed in Section 2.53.010, an allowance of eight hundred dollars ($800.00) for the purchase of the equipment.

28.1.2 As an exception to the County Code referenced above, the following provision shall apply:
1. For each safety employee in BU 28 in the Sheriff’s Department newly hired on or after December 31, 2017, this allowance shall be one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00).
2. Each safety employee in BU28 with fifteen (15) years of service with the Sheriff’s Department shall receive one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) to replace or purchase additional equipment listed in County Code 2.53.010, effective the start of the pay period following the completion of their fifteenth year of service.
a) Current employees who have fifteen years or more years of service as of January 1, 2022 shall receive the additional $1,500 payment effective the pay period including January 1, 2022, or the pay period following Board of Supervisors’ approval of this agreement, whichever occurs later.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. The District shall reimburse all bargaining unit members in the Custodian, Food Service, Grounds, and Maintenance areas up to $200 per school year for purchasing job related personal protection safety equipment.

1. For each safety employee in BU 27 in the Sheriff’s Department newly hired on or after December 31, 2017, this allowance shall be one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00).
SAFETY EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. 36.01 The City will reimburse, upon receipt, the Service Bay Supervisor, Service Person, and Transit Facilities and Infrastructure Coordinator up to $125 towards the cost of CSA approved footwear. Based on need, this will be available twice a year. Appropriate winter gear for the Service Bay Supervisor, Service Person, and Transit Facilities and Infrastructure Coordinator will be provided upon authorization of Exempt Transit Administration.
36.02 The City will reimburse, upon receipt, Action Bus Operators up to $125 towards the cost of pre-approved slip resistant footwear based on need, once per calendar year.
36.03 The City will provide $25 towards the cost of gloves to Action Bus Operators, twice per calendar year, upon receipt.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. (a) Each Regular Employee who has completed the initial period of probation as required in Clause 11.01 of this Agreement shall be reimbursed by the County to a maximum of two hundred dollars ($200) per calendar year as an allowance for the purchase of safety equipment or upgraded safety equipment not supplied by the County which must include, but is not limited to, C.S.A. approved safety footwear. A valid receipt(s) as evidence of the purchase of C.S.A. approved safety footwear and safety equipment must be presented. The Employee may carry over into the next calendar year any unused amount of their current years boot allowance. The maximum carry over in any one year cannot exceed two hundred dollars ($200). The Department Head, if they feel it is necessary, may approve for reimbursement a second pair of boots in a calendar year up to the value of the annual boot / safety equipment allowance.
(b) Each Temporary Employee, after the completion of the probationary period, shall be reimbursed by the County to a maximum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) per calendar year as an allowance for the purchase of safety equipment or upgraded safety equipment not supplied by the County which must include, but is not limited to, C.S.A. approved safety footwear. A valid receipt(s) as evidence of the purchase of C.S.A. approved safety footwear and safety equipment must be presented. The Temporary Employee may carry over into the next calendar year any unused amount of their current years boot allowance. The maximum carry over in any one year cannot exceed one hundred and fifty dollars ($150).
(c) Upgraded safety equipment may include but is not limited to: • Molded ear plugs • Prescription safety lenses/glasses • Upgraded gloves • Welding (individual) xxxxxxx Approval will not be unreasonably denied.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. 25.1 Maintenance Employees (Specialist, Skilled Maintenance, Bus Mechanic, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrician, Maintenance Lead, Preventative Maintenance) shall be allotted One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) annually for the purchase of job-related safety equipment. The equipment must be pre-approved by the District's Business Manager and a proper receipt must be furnished to the Business Manager in accordance with procedures established by the District.
25.2 Custodians shall be allotted Fifty Dollars ($50.00) annually for the purchase slip resistant shoes. A proper receipt must be furnished to the Business Manager in accordance with procedures established by the District.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE.
24.1 County Code Reference and Exceptions The parties agree that the County Code Section 2.53.050 shall apply to matters relating to district attorney investigator safety equipment allowance. The Association also acknowledges that County retains the right to change, amend, or repeal any County Code provision subject to any legally required meet and confer requirements which will replace County Code referenced above.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. Effective May 1, 2006, the Company agrees to pay each employee and recalled employees one hundred and thirty-five dollars ($135.00), per year, safety equipment allowance, excluding probationary employees. Effective May 1, 2007, the Company agrees to pay each employee and recalled employees one hundred and fifteen dollars ($115.00), per year, safety equipment allowance, excluding probationary employees. Effective May 1, 2008, the Company agrees to pay each employee and recalled employees one hundred and thirty-five dollars ($135.00), per year, safety equipment allowance, excluding probationary employees.
