A rticle 3 Rights of the Board The Board, on its own behalf and on the behalf of the electors of the district, hereby retains and reserves unto itself, without limitations, all powers, rights, authority, duties and responsibilities conferred upon and vested in it by the laws and the constitution of the state of Michigan and/or the United States, included but not limited to the following: The management and control of school properties, facilities, grades and courses of instruction, athletic and recreation programs, method of instruction, materials used for instruction and the selection, direction, transfer, promotion or demotion, discipline or dismissal of all personnel. The exercise of these powers, rights, authority, duties, and responsibilities by the Board and the adoption of such rules, regulations and policies as it may deem necessary shall be limited only by the specific and express terms of this agreement.
Association Phone. The Board agrees that the Association may provide, at Association expense, a direct phone line and answering machine to the classroom or workplace of the President. Answering machines shall be used so that incoming calls will not interfere with regular class assignments during the school day. Misuse of phone during class time will result in disciplinary action.

  • Association Dues 5.01 In every pay period, the Board shall deduct from every pay of each Occasional Teacher the appropriate amount of dues as authorized by the Constitution of the Association and directed by its Executive.

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid release time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.

  • Association Grievances If a grievance affects a group of employees or the Association, the Association may initiate and submit such grievance to the Superintendent directly, and the processing of such grievance shall commence at Step 2. Grievances involving more than one supervisor and grievances involving the administrator above the building level may be filed by the Association at Step 2.

  • Association Leave The Association shall be allowed to use up to 5 days of leave each school year for use by teachers who are officers or agents of the Association. The Association shall reimburse Unified School District 434 for the loss of use of the teacher taking such leave by paying the daily cost of a substitute teacher. The Association shall notify the Superintendent not less than 5 calendar days in advance of using such leave.

  • Association Representative 5.3.1.1 Management recognizes that one of the prime functions of the Council is to represent bargaining unit members and investigate complaints of members of the bargaining unit.

  • Association Assessments Current regular Association assessments and dues (Association Assessments) paid in 578 advance will be credited to Seller at Closing. Cash reserves held out of the regular Association Assessments for deferred 579 maintenance by the Association will not be credited to Seller except as may be otherwise provided by the Governing Documents. 580 Buyer acknowledges that Buyer may be obligated to pay the Association, at Closing, an amount for reserves or working capital. 581 Any special assessment assessed prior to Closing Date (§ 3) by the Association will be the obligation of Buyer Seller. 582 Except however, any special assessment by the Association for improvements that have been installed as of the date of Buyer’s 583 signature hereon, whether assessed prior to or after Closing, will be the obligation of Seller.
