ASSOCIATION PHONE. The Association president will be provided with a telephone at the Association president’s work station or in an office, if available, at the Employer’s expense. All long distance calls will be paid for by the Association. A rticle 3 Rights of the Board The Board, on its own behalf and on the behalf of the electors of the district, hereby retains and reserves unto itself, without limitations, all powers, rights, authority, duties and responsibilities conferred upon and vested in it by the laws and the constitution of the state of Michigan and/or the United States, included but not limited to the following: The management and control of school properties, facilities, grades and courses of instruction, athletic and recreation programs, method of instruction, materials used for instruction and the selection, direction, transfer, promotion or demotion, discipline or dismissal of all personnel. The exercise of these powers, rights, authority, duties, and responsibilities by the Board and the adoption of such rules, regulations and policies as it may deem necessary shall be limited only by the specific and express terms of this agreement.

ASSOCIATION PHONE. The Board agrees that the Association may provide, at Association expense, a direct phone line and answering machine to the classroom or workplace of the President. Answering machines shall be used so that incoming calls will not interfere with regular class assignments during the school day. Misuse of phone during class time will result in disciplinary action.

  • Association Dues 5.01 In every pay period, the Board shall deduct from every pay of each Occasional Teacher the appropriate amount of dues as authorized by the Constitution of the Association and directed by its Executive.

  • Association Establishment and all other expenses of the Association and also similar expenses of the Maintenance In-charge looking after the common purposes, until handing over the same to the Association.

  • Association Access (a) Employees shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of a full time representative(s) of the Association on all matters relating to employer/employee relations. Association representatives shall have access to the employer's premises in order to provide the required assistance. Employees involved in such discussion or investigation of grievances shall not be absent themselves from work except with permission from their supervisor and such permission will not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Association Grievance A grievance, as defined in Section 7.1, relating to occurrences actually involving at least three (3) nurses or arising under the Association Representative article, may be initiated by the Association at Step 2 of the above-mentioned procedure by the filing of a written grievance, signed by a representative of the Association, within 35 calendar days from the date of occurrence. Such grievance shall describe the problem and the contract provisions alleged to have been violated.

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid release time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.

  • Association Grievances If a grievance affects a group of employees or the Association, the Association may initiate and submit such grievance to the Superintendent directly, and the processing of such grievance shall commence at Step 2. Grievances involving more than one supervisor and grievances involving the administrator above the building level may be filed by the Association at Step 2.

  • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Association Representative 5.3.1.1 Management recognizes that one of the prime functions of the Council is to represent bargaining unit members and investigate complaints of members of the bargaining unit.
