Association President's Released Time. Upon request of the Association, the District shall release the Association President up to full-time on an annual basis subject to reimbursement of all costs of such release to the District by the Association. Such Association president's released time shall be in addition to the released time described in Section 12.1. above.

Association President's Released Time. The person or persons holding the office of the Presidency of the Association shall be released from teaching duties in the total aggregate amount of one day every week during the school term, with scheduling of such day (or lesser time increments thereof) to be agreed between the Association President(s) and the Superintendent or designee. He/she shall be considered a full-time teacher of the District with respect to the Illinois State Teachers’ Retirement System, all fringe benefits, tenure status, seniority, and placement on the salary schedule. Such release time shall be used for the mutual benefit of the parties as determined by the President(s) of the Association. The Association President(s) may request additional release time from the Superintendent. The Superintendent, in his/her sole discretion, may grant or deny a request for additional release time, with the Superintendent’s decision being non- precedential.
Association President's Released Time. In order to provide proper representation of members of the bargaining unit, the Association President shall be released up to full-time from regular employment to perform Association duties, to conduct Association business and/or to confer with the District or its representatives. The Association shall request released time, if any, thirty (30) days prior to the end of the semester preceding the one for which the leave is sought, except in cases where such notice is not possible. If the Association President remains a part-time employee, he/she will receive full salary and benefits as though employed full-time. However, the Puyallup Education Association will reimburse the Puyallup School District for the difference between what the Association President would have received as a part- time employee and the amount the Puyallup School District actually pays in compensations and benefits, except as specified below in items one through four. If the Association President has full-time release, the District will be reimbursed for all compensation paid by the Puyallup School District during the period of release whether the full-time release is for the entire school year or a portion of a school year. However, it is agreed the Association President shall be deemed an employee of the District during the period of release and shall not be penalized in regard to salary, seniority, benefits or rights pertaining to employment. Specifically, the Association President: 1) Will accrue leaves as other full-time employees; 2) Will be eligible for TRI as approved by the Association; 3) Will receive payment for supplemental days at the same rate as other full-time employees as approved by the Association; 4) Will be eligible for State Retirement System employer contributions by the District only to the extent the law requires payment by the District during such leave. The Association President shall have full rights to reinstatement subject to the Layoff/Recall provisions, if applicable, to his/her original job at termination of his/her term of office. If the original position is no longer in existence, the Association President shall be treated as an involuntary transferee with the rights afforded thereto. Upon request, the Association President shall also be entitled to resume any extra duty assignments (if such assignments have not been eliminated) he/she had prior to said leave.

The President will coordinate the visits with the offices of the principals in order to facilitate the purpose of this visit. Visits that are made to solve special problems of teachers will be arranged in advance by notifying the office of the principal.

  • VACANCIES, TERM POSITIONS AND NEW POSITIONS 3001 Subject to section 3002 herein, the Employer agrees to post notices of vacant, term or new positions covered under this Agreement for at least seven (7) days to enable nurses presently in the employ of the Employer to apply for same.   • Leave, President, O.N.A Upon application in writing by the Association on behalf of the nurse to the Hospital, a leave of absence shall be granted to such nurse elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms. Notwithstanding Article 10.04, there shall be no loss of service or seniority for a nurse during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the nurse's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The nurse agrees to notify the Hospital of her or his intention to return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.

  • Employee Who Acts as Representative Where an employee wishes to represent at a meeting with the Employer, an employee who has presented a grievance, the Employer will, where operational requirements permit, grant leave with pay to the representative when the meeting is held in the headquarters area of such employee and leave without pay when the meeting is held outside the headquarters area of such employee.
