Basic Work Year. The regular work year shall be prescribed by the School District each year for regular employees.

The Superintendent’s duty year shall be for the entire 12-month contract year as provided herein and the Superintendent shall perform services on those legal holidays on which the School District is authorized to conduct school if the School Board so determines. The Superintendent shall be on duty during any emergency, natural or unnatural, unless otherwise excused in accordance with School Board administrative policy. For purposes of computing a per diem salary, the Superintendent's annual salary shall be divided by 260.
Basic Work Year. The length of the regular employee base contract shall be one hundred eighty (180) base contract days in total.

School year employees are those scheduled to work at least the number of student contact days each school year but less than twelve months.
