Administrative Assistants. 1) Under normal circumstances, a Teacher in the position of Administrative Assistant may hold that position up to two years at the same level of remuneration that the Teacher would have received had the Teacher been holding his/her previous position. 2) Administrative Assistants presently receiving a responsibility allowance shall continue to receive that allowance. 23.05 d) 3) The Board through the Superintendent of Schools or appropriate Supervisory Officer, undertake to provide a prescribed career development program for Administrative Assistants.

Administrative Assistants. The termAdministrative Assistant” shall mean all persons in the appropriate unit employed by the school board in such classification excluding the following: confidential employees, supervisory employees, essential employees, part-time employees whose services do not exceed the lesser of 14 hours per week or 35 percent of the normal work week in the Administrative Assistant unit, employees who hold positions of a temporary or seasonal character for a period not in excess of 67 working days in any calendar year.
Administrative Assistants. 1. An employee with the least seniority within the affected classification shall be laid off first. 2. Seniority will be calculated on the basis of the number of months in which service is provided as follows: a. Forty-two (42) week and school year employees may accrue seniority from September – June – not to exceed ten (10) months in any one (1) fiscal year, July 1 – June 30. b. Fifty-two (52) week employees may accrue seniority from July 1 to June 30, not to exceed twelve (12) months in any one (1) fiscal year July 1 – June 30. c. In cases of employees with equal months of seniority, the determining factor will be the actual date of hire.
