Business Leave Days. The Board recognizes that from time to time certain situations occur which require the employee’s attention during the regular school day. In order to accommodate such situations, each employee may have three (3) business leave days per year. The use of these days is intended for situations which arise that are beyond the employee’s direct control. Business leave days are not intended for recreation, shopping, and/or travel. Arrangements for business leave must be made with the building principal or designee, at least five (5) days in advance. Unused business leave days shall accumulate as sick leave as of June 30 of each school year.

In order to accommodate such situations, each teacher may have three (3) business leave days per year. The use of these days is intended for situations which arise that are beyond the teacher's direct control. Business leave days are not intended for recreation, shopping, and/or leisure. Arrangements for business leave must be made with the building principal or designee, at least five (5) days in advance. Unused business leave days shall accumulate as sick leave as of June 30 of each school year. Restricted Days Business leave may not be used, during the first or last five (5) days of student attendance, immediately prior to or following vacation periods or holidays, on teacher institute/in-service days, ISAT testing days when tests are scheduled for that teacher, or on parent-teacher conference days. The teacher workdays are eligible for business leave use unless the day falls on the day immediately before or following vacation periods or holidays. The Building Articulation Day is a district institute day and is a restricted day for business leave use.
Business Leave Days. The parties to waive the inclusion the Association Days granted to Virginia to attend Legislative Committee for duration of this Collective Agreement.

  • Business Leave Each teacher shall be allowed five (5) days per year non-accumulative, deducted from sick leave allowance, for employee absence due to emergency, business, professional, household, or personal matters that cannot be attended to outside of working hours. Prior approval must be given by the administration with the exception of emergencies. The use of business leave will be allowed immediately preceding or following a school holiday, provided a substitute is available. In no instance shall more than two (2) teachers from Xxxx Xxxxx Middle School, two (2) teachers from College Place High School, and four (4) teachers from Xxxxx Elementary School be allowed business leave on the same day.

  • Extended Illness Leave 1. Extended Illness Leave, hereinafter referred to as “EIL” shall be established for Administrative Support Group, XXXX, Clerical, and Educational Assistant personnel who are absent due to their own personal illness or injury following the exhaustion of their accumulated illness, vacation and annual allotment of short term leave. Eligibility for Extended Illness Leave includes completion of employee’s probationary period.

  • Parental Leave Allowance (a) An employee who qualifies for parental leave pursuant to Clause 26.02, shall be paid a parental leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Plan. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer proof of application and eligibility to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for parental leave allowance.

  • Illness Leave A. Illness is defined as any pronounced deviation from a normal health state which makes it disadvantageous to the District and/or detrimental to the employee for him/her to be at work. This definition shall include emergency medical, dental, optical, and prosthetic work.

  • Maternity Leave Allowance (a) An employee who qualifies for maternity leave pursuant to Clause 26.01, shall be paid a maternity leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Plan, as set out in Letter of Understanding #1. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer proof that the employee has applied for and is eligible to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for maternity leave allowance.

  • Industrial Accident and Illness Leave Section 44984 of the Education Code is supplemented as follows:

  • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Critical Illness Leave (i) An Employee who has completed at least ninety (90) days of employment, and is a family member of a critically ill child or a critically ill qualified adult relative, is entitled to leave of absence without pay or benefits: • for a period of up to thirty-six (36) weeks to care for their critically ill child; or, • for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks to care for a critically ill qualified adult relative.

  • Family Illness Leave An employee will be granted leave of absence for up to five (5) days per year without loss of pay or benefits for family illness. Additional family illness leave may be granted by the employer.

  • ANNUAL LEAVE (VACATION) A. Full time employees, except for participants in the Deferred Retirement Option Program, shall be entitled to earn Annual Leave (Vacation) time according to the following schedule: YEARS OF CONSECUTIVE SERVICE COMPLETED: DAYS EARNED PER BI-WEEKLY PERIOD: UP TO AN ANNUAL MAXIMUM OF: less than 5 .38 10 days 5 .57 15 days 10 .65 17 days 13 .77 20 days 20 .80 21 days 21 .84 22 days 22 .88 23 days 23 .92 24 days 24 .96 25 days B.
