Cancer Insurance. The District agrees to make available at employee expense the American Fidelity Assurance Company cancer insurance program.

The total cost of the premiums shall be the responsibility of the employee requesting the option. The City agrees to meet and confer with the Union concerning the choice of carrier for this insurance. Only one policy of cancer insurance shall be made available. The Union agrees to accept all reasonable restrictions relating to this benefit which the City wishes to impose.

Cancer Insurance. Cancer insurance will be provided for the employee only. The plan shall be that of the American Family Life Assurance Company Cancer Plan or its equivalent as determined by the administration.
Cancer Insurance. The monthly premium rate for cancer insurance may be deducted from the employee’s monthly salary for those who desire this coverage.
Cancer Insurance. A program of cancer insurance will be offered at the employee’s expense through payroll deduction to employees covered by this Agreement.
Cancer Insurance. In no case shall the District monthly obligation exceed the premium rate established by the District vendor each year.
Cancer Insurance. The District shall provide each full-time unit employee with the cancer insurance policy available through the District.
Cancer Insurance. Medical reimbursement The only recognized health insurance carrier is the one designated by the district. Currently, this is Blue Cross & Blue Shield. The district health carrier premiums will be deducted from each employee's salary that elects to join the district plan. No other health carrier premium will be deducted from salary. An employee who chooses a salary reduction plan will file a written request prior to September 1 with the Clerk of the Board. The above-stated procedure must meet Internal Revenue and/or Social Security approval. A list of companies presently providing coverage in the district will be provided. See attached schedule (Addendum B) Employees will be reimbursed for all expenses incurred in the pursuit of board-approved in-service, out-service training, and college coursework. The board will grant approved hours earned for movement to the next column of the salary schedule beyond BS+32. Teachers with a master's degree do not need board approval to move to the next column of the salary schedule. The board may elect not to reimburse staff for classes taken for the purpose of re-licensure or personal career reasons. Teachers who voluntarily supervise lunch will receive a free meal, and all others will receive an uninterrupted break time during the school's lunch period.
