Payment of Paid Personal/Carer’s Leave (a) If an employee takes a period of paid personal/xxxxx’s leave and meets the notice requirements set out at Clause 44.3 the employer must pay the employee at the employee’s base rate of pay for the employee’s ordinary hours of work in the period.
Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.
Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.
Carer’s Leave An employee may use up to 10 days accrued sick days as carers leave to tend to the care for members of the employee’s immediate household. The leave will be subject to the employee providing reasonable proof of the need for the use of xxxxx’s leave. In circumstances where the employee has exhausted all of the paid leave, a further 2 days unpaid leave may be taken.
PRIVATE BUSINESS/GENERAL/PERSONAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE 12.1. In consultation with the principal and with two (2) weeks notice where possible, a teacher shall be granted two (2) days personal leave per school year, except where circumstances put such a leave in conflict with the interests of the school. LOSS OF PERSONAL PROPERTY The board will not be responsible for any employee’s loss of personal property brought to a school or work site; however, in the event an employee’s personal property is lost or damaged as a direct result of a disaster, such as hurricane, fire, flood, etc., the board will reimburse the employee’s loss or damage in an amount not to exceed $500 per occurrence. In order for an employee to be eligible for such reimbursement, the personal property for which the employee makes a claim must have been pre-approved for use by the employee in connection with the employee’s duties, as evidenced by a written approval form signed by the employee’s principal or site supervisor and by the employee. In addition to the approval form, the employee must attach to the form proof of the property’s value, i.e. receipt, etc. The employee will be responsible for presenting a copy of the approval form in order to secure payment for loss. Payment will not be made unless the form is presented. The maximum amount an employee may receive for loss in any single occurrence is a total of $500, regardless of the amount or number of items approved for use in connection with the employee’s duties.
Amount of Paid Personal Leave (i) Paid personal leave is available to an employee, when they are absent:

Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness leaves granted to a permanent Teacher or long-term Occasional Teacher under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, as amended.
Personal Leave With Pay Full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use up to a maximum of six days personal leave with pay per year provided that such days shall be charged against the employee's currently accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.
