CDL Licenses Sample Clauses

CDL Licenses. Section 14.1 Effective January 1, 1994, all employees must have appropriate valid licenses to operate City equipment or vehicles, including CDL licenses. All employees must also be able to be insured under the City's liability policy to operate City equipment or vehicles. Employees whose licenses are revoked or suspended, or who cannot be insured under the City's liability policy, will be transferred or assigned to another available job for which they are qualified. If no available job exists, the employee shall be laid off.

CDL Licenses. The employer shall pay for any job required CDL endorsement renewal fees, certifications, renewals, and legally required trainings/clearances that are job required for regular full-time employees who have satisfied their initial probationary period. This does not apply for licenses/certifications required for initial hire or promotion.

CDL Licenses. Employees shall be permitted to take the state test for a CDL license and/or go for the renewal of a CDL license during the work day with pay, but to be scheduled with the SUPERINTENDENT, and only for reasonable durations. Upon presentation of a new CDL license for three (3) years, a single additional payment of Fifteen Dollars and no/cents ($15.00), or such other amount as shall represent the difference between a CDL license and regular driver’s license, shall be paid to the employee who received the new three (3) year CDL license. Each new employee shall use his or her reasonable best efforts to obtain a CDL when the knowledge or skills is essential for the position.
