Class Preparation. 1. Secondary teachers shall not be required to teach more than two different subjects or have more than three different preparations for more than one year in succession. Individual exceptions may be made when a teacher voluntarily accepts such an assignment. Exception may be made annually in the case of middle/senior schools with enrollments of 1,200 or less. Exception may also be made annually in schools with middle school grades with an enrollment of 750 or less. 2. For purposes of this article, subject shall mean area of certification and preparation shall mean course numbers as listed in the Florida Department of Education Course Code Directory. All courses within each of the areas of Physical Education, Vocational Technical Education, Exceptional Student Education, Music, Speech, Dance, Drama, Art, Journalism, Alternative Education, and Drop-out Prevention shall be considered a single preparation unless a preparation is required. Classes taught with multiple course numbers shall be considered a preparation unless a preparation is required. Assignments involving students learning while serving as aids or assistants shall not be considered a preparation. Advisor-Advisee responsibilities shall not be considered a preparation unless scheduled for a full class period of standard length for the school during the school year. 3. All exceptions shall be reviewed annually by the Division for Instruction.
Class Preparation. A. A teacher assigned to teach via TIDSS, shall have a maximum number of three class preparations including the telecommunications class. However, if it is necessary to exceed the maximum number of preparations one of the following two options may be implemented. (1) One additional preparation period (2) A stipend of $500 per semester B. Originating sites agree that for a teacher acting as a presenter of a telecommunications class (during the regular school day), the telecommunications class shall count as one (1) preparation as reflected on the daily teaching schedule.
Class Preparation a. Teachers of a telecommunication class shall have no more than three different class preparations during the school day except as mutually agreed upon by the teacher and Association. b. Teachers shall be compensated for the additional time and training required to adjust their teaching methods. Said supplemental pay shall be at the rate of 3% of BA, Step one (1) per class, per semester.
Class Preparation. 12.2.9.1 Class preparation shall be no greater than three course preparations per semester except in those cases where Department size requires faculty to assume a greater preparation load to maintain academic program integrity. In such Departments, documented efforts shall be made to rotate the extra preparations. Faculty members in other Departments may voluntarily accept more than three (3) preparations.
Class Preparation. Secondary principals shall make a good faith effort to assign teachers in a manner that minimizes the number of class preparations to the extent possible. A course that is taught both online (virtually) and in-person shall count as two distinct courses and thus two preparations.
Class Preparation. Teachers in Grades 9-12, with the exception of music, shall receive $400.00 per semester for each preparation that exceeds four (4) per semester (multiple sections of the same course are considered one preparation).
Class Preparation. The normal amount of preparation per semester for a member of the instructional staff shall be considered to be three (3) preparations. The College reserves the right to require certain faculty members to teach four (4) preparations in any given semester if it is in the best interest of the College and the student body. Faculty members may request to teach five (5) preparations if they so indicate this in writing to the Xxxx. Any faculty teaching five (5) preparations for load in one semester shall receive one (1) credit of pay. An attempt will be made to assign no more than four (4) Science Laboratory sections per semester for any faculty member.

  • Joint Preparation The preparation of this Agreement has been a joint effort of the parties and the resulting documents shall not, solely as a matter of judicial construction, be construed more severely against one of the parties than the other.

  • Site Preparation Axon will provide a hardcopy or digital copy of current user documentation for the Axon Devices ("User Documentation"). User Documentation will include all required environmental specifications for the professional services and Axon Devices to operate per the Axon Device User Documentation. Before installation of Axon Devices (whether performed by Customer or Axon), Customer must prepare the location(s) where Axon Devices are to be installed ("Installation Site") per the environmental specifications in the Axon Device User Documentation. Following installation, Customer must maintain the Installation Site per the environmental specifications. If Axon modifies Axon Device User Documentation for any Axon Devices under this Agreement, Axon will provide the update to Customer when Axon generally releases it

  • Preparation Awarded vendor shall not begin a project for which TIPS Member has not prepared the site, unless awarded vendor does the preparation work at no cost, or until TIPS Member includes the cost of site preparation in a purchase order. Site preparation includes, but is not limited to: moving furniture, installing wiring for networks or power, and similar pre-installation requirements. Registered sex offender restrictions: For work to be performed at schools, awarded vendor agrees that no employee of a sub-contractor who has been adjudicated to be a registered sex offender will perform work at any time when students are, or reasonably expected to be, present. Awarded vendor agrees that a violation of this condition shall be considered a material breach and may result in the cancellation of the purchase order at the TIPS Member’s discretion. Awarded vendor must identify any additional costs associated with compliance of this term. If no costs are specified, compliance with this term will be provided at no additional charge. Safety measures: Awarded vendor shall take all reasonable precautions for the safety of employees on the worksite, and shall erect and properly maintain all necessary safeguards for protection of workers and the public. Awarded vendor shall post warning signs against all hazards created by the operation and work in progress. Proper precautions shall be taken pursuant to state law and standard practices to protect workers, general public and existing structures from injury or damage.

  • Preparation Period During the preparation period, a teacher will have no other assignment except in an emergency situation. It is recognized that the preparation period is a scheduled part of the teacher's work day and the teacher is expected to be in his/her respective Building. If the teacher must leave the Building during his/her preparation and/or lunch period, he/she must notify the Building switchboard operator.
