Clinical and Educational Work Hours. Resident Physician shall comply with clinical and educational work hour requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and in accordance with the institutional policy outlined in the Resident Manual. Resident Physician shall comply with reporting clinical and educational work hours as required by the program and/or the GME Office.
Clinical and Educational Work Hours. Within 30 days after the implementation of this agreement, the County will schedule Interns and Residents according to ACGME guidelines for those programs where guideline requirements exist. For programs where no ACGME guidelines exist, the County shall develop guidelines reflecting minimum standards established by the ACGME.
Clinical and Educational Work Hours. Resident's training, research, teaching and clinical assignments are the primary responsibility of Resident's program with additional review and approval by the Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine. Resident's work hours will be consistent with program requirements and School of Medicine work hour limitations, as further set out in Section 2, VIII of the Manual. Sample
Clinical and Educational Work Hours. Resident understands and agrees that the hours of duty will vary with the clinical area to which Resident is assigned from time to time. The Program Director with support of the Hospital shall, however, maintain an environment conducive to Resident’s health and well-being and will use its best efforts to limit Resident’s assigned duty to the customary and usual schedule for Residents in the service to which Resident shall be assigned. Hospital shall comply with the applicable ACGME requirements and THR Policies.
Clinical and Educational Work Hours and Call Schedules. Resident shall perform his or her duties under this Agreement during such hours as the Program Director may direct in accordance with CMC’s Graduate Medical Education’s House Staff Policy entitled “Clinical and Educational Work Hours Policy” applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and policies, and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (“ACGME”) requirements. If a scheduled clinical and educational work assignment is inconsistent with such policies, laws, rules, regulations or requirements, Resident shall bring such inconsistency to the Program Director as soon as possible who shall take the necessary steps to reconcile or cure such inconsistency.
Clinical and Educational Work Hours. MHS is responsible for promoting patient safety and education through carefully constructed clinical and educational work-hour assignments and faculty availability, in accordance with accrediting bodies and with MHS’ policy governing Resident/Fellow Clinical and Educational Work Hours, as that policy may be, from time to time, amended and revised in MHS’s sole discretion.
Clinical and Educational Work Hours. Residents in the Training Program shall comply with the ACGME’s duty hour standards as delineated by the Institutional Policy on “Resident Clinical and Educational Work Hours and Working Environment” and the individual program’s work hour rules, hours of operation, and processes for attendance and tardiness. Residents shall inform Program Director, and/or Director of Medical Education/DIO if they feel their hours exceed this common duty hour standards. Each resident is required to keep an electronic log of his/her work hours. Failure to document duty hours in the assigned log system can lead to disciplinary action.
Clinical and Educational Work Hours. The Hospital shall be responsible for promoting patient safety and education through appropriate Resident work hour assignments and faculty availability. The Hospital shall abide by all ACGMEor CPME requirements, as applicable, regarding work hours and the work environment for Residents.
Clinical and Educational Work Hours. 5.1 The Resident shall perform his/her duties under this Agreement during such hours as the Program Director may direct in accordance with the Resident Clinical and Educational Work Hours Policy of the GMEC (see Reference J). Work hours, although subject to modification and variation depending upon the clinical area to which the Resident is assigned and/or exigent circumstances, shall be in accordance with state, federal, and ACGME requirements.
Clinical and Educational Work Hours. Hours of duty will be established in compliance with the Institutional Clinical and Educational Work Hours Policy, the ACGME Clinical Experience and Education requirements, and specialty-specific Program Requirements. Clinical and Educational Work Hours are defined as all clinical and academic activities related to the training program. This includes inpatient and outpatient clinical care, in-house call, short call, night float and day float, transfer of patient care, and administrative activities related to patient care such as completing medical records, ordering and reviewing lab test, and signing orders. This also includes time spent doing clinical work while on home call, moonlighting activities, and other scheduled activities, such as conferences. Clinical and Educational work hours do not include reading done in preparation for cases, studying, and research done away from the duty site. In-house call is defined as those work hours beyond the normal work day when residents are required to be immediately available in the assigned institution.
