CLOTHING AND CLEANING ALLOWANCE. A. Each fiscal year, every officer shall be allotted a basic clothing allowance of $600.00. Said clothing allowance shall be placed in an account in the officer's name and shall be disbursed to the officer upon submittal of legible receipts for approved clothing and personal equipment purchases. It is clearly understood that the clothing allowance has a prospective application and is intended to cover purchases for the entire fiscal year. In the event that employment is interrupted for such reason as retirement or leave of absence or injury leave in excess of six (6) months, the City shall have the right to adjust such payments on a prorated basis and make adjustments in payments for the following fiscal year based on overpayments in the current year or, in the case of retirement, from the employee's final pay check. Any mandatory changes in uniform and/or personal equipment over $75.00 per item shall not be deducted from the officer's clothing allowance.
B. Any officer assigned to or from the Non-Uniform Divisions or Bureaus for an assignment in excess of six (6) months shall receive an additional $150.00 in his clothing allowance.
C. $25.00 of unused funds from the basic clothing allowance may be carried over each fiscal year. The amount and type of uniform and equipment shall be determined by the Police Chief. Changes in uniform and/or personal equipment will be discussed with the officers of the Union, and all Police Officers will be notified of any mandatory change at least thirty (30) days in advance of the fiscal year.
D. All new officers shall be supplied with a full set of uniforms and equipment as determined by the Chief.
E. Effective May 1, 2021, each officer shall receive an annual cleaning allowance of up to five hundred dollars ($500.00) during the month of May. It shall be comprised of 1/12th of the total amount for any month or portion thereof the officer worked in the previous twelve (12) months. In the event that employment is interrupted for such reasons as leave of absence or injury leave in excess of six (6) months, the City shall have the right to adjust such payments on a prorated basis.

CLOTHING AND CLEANING ALLOWANCE. A single cleaning allowance of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per year will be paid to Animal Control Compliance Officers. The allowance will be paid in the second pay period of January. Management will continue the practice of cleaning Animal Control Compliance Officer uniforms where the uniforms come in contact with biohazards. Management will provide uniforms and boots to all Animal Control Compliance Officers.
CLOTHING AND CLEANING ALLOWANCE. Each employee shall receive a cleaning allowance in the amount of $500.00 per year, per person, one- half of said amounts to be paid on July l of each year and the remaining one-half to be paid on January 1st of the following year.
A. Effective January 1, 2009, the cleaning allowance will increase $100.00 and the January payment of $250.00, plus the aforementioned $100.00 will be rolled into the base salary.
B. Effective July 1, 2009, the clothing allowance and the cleaning allowance will increase in total to $1,100.00 and less the above $350.00 in A above, will be rolled into the base salary.
C. Effective July 1, 2010, said allowances will increase by $100.00 and will be rolled into the base salary and will thereafter not be considered as separate items, but shall be included in the base salary.
CLOTHING AND CLEANING ALLOWANCE. A. Effective July 1, 1989, all officers shall receive three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) annually for uniforms and equipment. This allowance shall be increased to three hundred seventy-five dollars ($375.00) effective July 1, 1990, and four hundred dollars ($400.00) effective July 1, 1991. This shall accumulate without maximum. Uniforms and equipment shall mean all police-related items offered by the clothing vendor and approved by the Department.

CLOTHING AND CLEANING ALLOWANCE. 25.1: Each employee covered by this Agreement shall receive a clothing allowance each year in the amount of six hundred seventy-five ($675) dollars. This allowance is to be used to purchase uniforms, uniform shoes, and other miscellaneous items not furnished by the department.
25.2: Each employee covered by this Agreement shall receive a cleaning allowance of six hundred seventy-five ($675) per year.
25.3: Both clothing and cleaning allowance are to be paid at the beginning of each fiscal year.
CLOTHING AND CLEANING ALLOWANCE. 19.1 Each Corrections Officer shall have a minimum of three (3) complete utility uniforms, one (1) class A uniform, and one (1) coat as required by the Sheriff. Such uniforms will be purchased by the Employer. Each Security Officer shall have a minimum of three (3) complete utility uniforms and one (1) coat.
19.2 Probationary Corrections and Security Officers will be given a complement of two (2) complete uniforms that the Sheriff or his designee determines is necessary to perform their duties and responsibilities until such time as the Sheriff or his designee believe it necessary to issue the full complement to said employees.
19.3 The County shall have the duty to supply clothing and equipment of the nearest standard size to an employee's measurements, including vendor supplied alteration, provided however, custom tailoring will be the responsibility of the employee.
19.4 The County agrees to repair or replace defective and/or unserviceable clothing or equipment, as determined and authorized by the Sheriff.
19.5 The Sheriff shall have the authority to prescribe the uniform. However, in the event of any change, the total cost of the sets of new equipment or clothing required, including the cost of alterations and tax will be paid for by the Employer.
19.6 Uniformed employees of the Sheriff’s Office will be allowed up to four (4) uniform cleanings per month to be paid for by the County. Employees are required to sign at the cleaner for uniform cleaning. Extra uniform cleanings may be provided by the County in unusual circumstances at the discretion of the Sheriff. Uniforms are to be kept clean and in presentable condition in accordance with the Sheriff's determinations.
19.7 The employees of the Sheriff’s Office will be provided one (1) pair of footwear as part of the uniform. The Sheriff will have the opportunity to review and determine whether an employee's footwear requires replacement or repair. If repair or replacement is requireddeemed necessary, the County shall pay for footwearrepair; if repair is not an option, replacement footwear shall not exceed $175 and must be approved by the Sheriff. Employees who prefer to purchase more expensive boots may request reimbursement for the $175 in writing and must provide a copy of the sales receipt. The employee may choose footwear from a list of footwear options as determined by the Sheriff.

CLOTHING AND CLEANING ALLOWANCE. 14.01 The Employer agrees to pay each regular Patrol Officer, Patrol Corporal, and Investigator bargaining unit employee the sum of four hundred fifty dollars ($450.00) as allowance for uniforms, laundry and clothing. Such uniforms shall be as prescribed by the Sheriff as approved by the Protection of Persons and Property Committee of Calumet County.
