The Union agrees that coaching letters shall not form the basis of a grievance and that union representation is not required in coaching sessions between the employee and the supervisor.

Coaching Letter. The University and the Union recognize that coaching letters are a non- disciplinary method of addressing concerns with an employee. For clarity, coaching letters shall not form a step in the progressive discipline process and shall not be relied upon to increase the severity of discipline imposed. Coaching letters shall be removed from the employee’s file when twelve (12) months of active employment (i.e., days actually at work at the University) have elapsed since the date of issue. For clarity, a new coaching letter may be issued at any time. All coaching letters shall be clearly identified as such in the subject line of the letter.

A copy of the coaching letter will be provided to the Union. Employee File: b) No disciplinary document shall be placed on the employee's file that has not first been shown, and a copy given to the employee. An employee shall have the right to have access to, make copies of and review their personnel file, and shall have the right to respond, in writing, to any document which the employee has not received and such reply shall become part of the record. The employee, or their Union representative, shall have the right to request and receive copies of all discipline and work performance documents in the employee’s personnel file where the employee has been disciplined for any reason. Any employee wishing to view the employee’s personnel file shall make arrangements to do so with the Human Resources Department at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Warnings and disciplinary notices shall be in writing and be part of an employee's file for a maximum of twenty-four (24) months from date of issue.

  • Medical Plan ‌ Eligible employees and dependants shall be covered by the British Columbia Medical Services Plan or carrier approved by the British Columbia Medical Services Commission. The Employer shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premium. An eligible employee who wishes to have coverage for other than dependants may do so provided the Medical Plan is agreeable and the extra premium is paid by the employee through payroll deduction. Membership shall be a condition of employment for eligible employees who shall be enrolled for coverage following the completion of three (3) months’ employment or upon the initial date of employment for those employees with portable service as outlined in Article 14.12.

  • Written Employee Jury Service Policy 54.2.1 Unless Contractor has demonstrated to the County’s satisfaction either that Contractor is not a “contractor” as defined under the Jury Service Program (Section 2.203.020 of the County Code) or that Contractor qualifies for an exception to the Jury Service Program (Section 2.203.070 of the County Code), Contractor must have and adhere to a written policy that provides that its Employees must receive from Contractor, on an annual basis, no less than five Days of regular pay for actual jury service. The policy may provide that Employees deposit any fees received for such jury service with Contractor or that Contractor deduct from the Employee’s regular pay the fees received for jury service. 54.2.2 For purposes of this Paragraph 54.2 (Written Employee Jury Service Policy), “Contractor” means a person, partnership, corporation, or other entity which has a contract with the County or a subcontract with a County Contractor and has received or will receive an aggregate sum of $50,000 or more in any 12-month period under one or more County contracts or subcontracts. “Employee” means any California resident who is a full-time employee of Contractor. “Full-time” means 40 hours or more worked per week, or a lesser number of hours if: i) the lesser number is a recognized industry standard as determined by the County, or ii) Contractor has a long- standing practice that defines the lesser number of hours as full-time. Full- time employees providing short-term, temporary services of 90 Days or less within a 12-month period are not considered full-time for purposes of the Jury Service Program. If Contractor uses any Subcontractor to perform Services for the County under this Contract, the Subcontractor is also be subject to the provisions of this Paragraph 54.2 (Written Employee Jury Service Policy). The provisions of this Paragraph 54.2 (Written Employee Jury Service Policy) must be inserted into any such Subcontract agreement and a copy of the Jury Service Program must be attached to the agreement.

  • Teaching Load 11-1 The parties recognize that the number of students, the number of preparations, and the amount of planning time are related to student performance. 11-2 CLASS SIZE 11-2-1 The parties recognize that class size is related to economics and that reduction of class size is faced with fiscal constraints.   • Extended Health Plan An employee who makes an election under this provision must enrol in each and every of the benefit plans and shall not be entitled to except any of them.
