Code of Conduct and Behaviour Policy. GEMS Founders School Masdar City strives to offer all students a safe environment in which they can achieve their full academic and personal best. Our Code of Conduct and Behaviour Policy is based on mutual respect and is applicable to all stakeholders. For GFA to achieve this objective, the responsibilities of students and parents include: • Abiding by the school’s behaviour policy, encouraging students to conform to school rules particularly regarding behaviour during the school timings, during extra-curricular activities, on school buses, during school trips and students’ participation in social- media forums, wearing school uniform and completing home learning. • The school has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying in all its forms. Bullying is the intentional and repeated intimidation of another person who is in a position of power through emotional, physical, psychological and/or cyber means. Instances of proven and intentional bullying may result in immediate fixed term suspension of the aggressor from the school. • Parents who do not support the school in the improvement of their child’s behaviour may have the offer of a place withdrawn at the end of a year. • Aligned with the above, the school will not tolerate any form of defamation or intentional harm practiced through social media forums. • The school has a clear policy for parents and students about the use of and participation in social media outlets and/or forums. • This policy includes the following: - Parents and students using social media must, at all times, demonstrate respect for the members of the school community (including all students and personnel). - Parents and students must not breach confidentiality, defame or make threats to any person in the school community; instances of proven and intentional breach of the above will result in sanctions that may include fixed term suspension from the school. • Staff monitor and follow-up behavioural issues in a fair, consistent manner. Multiple incident reports over time and serious safety issues would lead to a warning letter following the Behaviour Policy. • Students are expected to learn from their mistakes and reflect on ‘how to do better next time’. • Warning Letters are issued immediately for serious violations (such as fighting) or due to repeated irregularities over time. • Students whose behaviour does not significantly improve would not be readmitted for the following academic year. • Students receiving 3 Level 2 to more serious W...

  • Harassment Policy It is the policy of CUPE as an Employer to ensure that the working environment is conducive to the performance of work and is such that employees are not hindered from carrying out their responsibilities.   • Supplier Code of Conduct At all times during the term of this Agreement, Seller will comply with the Apple Supplier Code of Conduct ("Code of Conduct"), as amended by Apple from time-to-time, available from Apple’s public website at xxxxx://xxx.xxxxx.xxx/supplier-responsibility/. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, Seller will: (i) allow Apple and a third party representative, retained by or representing Apple (collectively, the "Auditor"), to assess Seller’s compliance with the Code of Conduct by inspecting Seller’s facilities and/or reviewing Seller’s practices, policies, and relevant records without notice, and/or by interviewing Seller’s personnel without monitoring, solely to verify Seller’s compliance with the Code of Conduct (collectively, an "Assessment"); (ii) promptly provide the Auditor with access to any relevant facilities and personnel without disruption or interference, in connection with any Assessment; (iii) promptly provide complete and accurate information and documentation in response to the Auditor’s requests, (iv) allow the Auditor to review and assess working hours and conditions, remuneration and benefits, personnel practices, production, dormitory, and dining facilities, business conduct, and health, safety, and environmental practices, as applicable, in connection with any Assessment; (v) not request or encourage, directly or indirectly, any Seller personnel to furnish false or incomplete information in connection with any Assessment; (vi) not take retaliatory action against any Seller personnel interviewed during an Assessment; and

  • EMPLOYMENT POLICY 5.01 The Union and the Employer will cooperate in maintaining a desirable and competent labour force. The Employer will notify the Union of manpower requirements giving as much prior notice as possible. The Union will provide a list of manpower available. The Employer at its discretion may hire employees so listed or from other sources. 5.02 The Employer has the right to hire new employees as needed, provided that no new employee(s) will be hired while there are qualified, available employees who are laid off due to lack of work. An employee hired for a specific project outside the free travel zone shall be deemed as a local hire and will not be entitled to paid travel time or related expenses while working on that project. 5.03 To assist in the efficient placement of appropriately skilled members it is agreed that the Employer will inform the Union Office of members who are laid off and when employees are hired whether from the Union list or from another source. Laid off members are also required to notify the Union of their status. 5.04 New employees shall serve a probationary period of ninety (90) calendar days (3 months). During the probationary period, the Employer may terminate a probationary employee at its sole discretion provided it is not motivated by bad faith. Probationary employees are covered by the Agreement, excepting those provisions which specifically exclude such employees. During probation, all terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement apply amended as follows: a. A probationary employee who is a licensed journeyman may be paid one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) less than the journeyman rate during the probation unless the parties agree otherwise or where the employee is hired through the Union’s Employment Assistance Service. b. Probationary apprentices shall be paid a percentage of the journeyman probationary rate during probation unless the parties agree otherwise or where the employee is hired through the Union’s Employment Assistance Service. 5.05 The Employer may contract out electrical work provided it does not result in the layoff of electricians in the bargaining unit.

  • SWEATFREE CODE OF CONDUCT a. All Contractors contracting for the procurement or laundering of apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, or the procurement of equipment, materials, or supplies, other than procurement related to a public works contract, declare under penalty of perjury that no apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, equipment, materials, or supplies furnished to the state pursuant to the contract have been laundered or produced in whole or in part by sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor, or with the benefit of sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor. The contractor further declares under penalty of perjury that they adhere to the Sweatfree Code of Conduct as set forth on the California Department of Industrial Relations website located at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx, and Public Contract Code Section 6108. b. The contractor agrees to cooperate fully in providing reasonable access to the contractor’s records, documents, agents or employees, or premises if reasonably required by authorized officials of the contracting agency, the Department of Industrial Relations, or the Department of Justice to determine the contractor’s compliance with the requirements under paragraph (a).

  • Safety Policy The City agrees to maintain in safe working condition all facilities and equipment furnished by the City to carry out the duties of each bargaining unit position, but reserves the right to determine what those facilities and equipment shall be. The Association agrees to work cooperatively in maintaining safety in the Xenia/Xxxxxx Central Communications Center.

  • Employment Policies The employment relationship between the parties shall also be governed by the general employment policies and practices of the Company, including those relating to protection of confidential information and assignment of inventions, except that when the terms of this Agreement differ from or are in conflict with the Company’s general employment policies or practices, this Agreement shall control.

  • Code of Ethics The Adviser has adopted a written code of ethics complying with the requirements of Rule 17j-1 under the Act and will provide the Trust with a copy of the code and evidence of its adoption. Within 45 days of the last calendar quarter of each year while this Agreement is in effect, the Adviser will provide to the Board of Trustees of the Trust a written report that describes any issues arising under the code of ethics since the last report to the Board of Trustees, including, but not limited to, information about material violations of the code and sanctions imposed in response to the material violations; and which certifies that the Adviser has adopted procedures reasonably necessary to prevent "access persons" (as that term is defined in Rule 17j-1) from violating the code.
