Combination Class. Unit member teaching a combination class at the elementary level shall receive one (1) release day per trimester for preparation and planning.
Combination Class. General education class made up of students from more than one grade level.
Combination Class. 10.3.1 Combination grade level classes shall be kept to a minimum. Teachers of combination grade level classes shall be selected on a voluntary basis. If there are no volunteers, a unit member, excluding preliminary credentialed teachers, may be involuntarily reassigned to teach the combination grade level class. Reassignments to combination classes shall be rotated on an equitable basis, consistent with the best needs of students, and with the goal of not assigning a unit member to a combination class a second time before all unit members at the two grade levels involved in the combination have been assigned a combination class. After completing a combination class assignment, upon request, a member will return to the grade level taught immediately prior to the combination class assignment, if such a position is available.
10.3.2 Elementary teachers shall be included in the placement of their current students for class configurations for the subsequent school year, with an emphasis on creating a balanced (50/50) class from each grade level.
Combination Class. Unit members assigned to teach an elementary school non-special education combination class (students from more than one grade level) shall be paid a stipend of $2500 per school year.
Combination Class. Each elementary teacher of a combination class will receive extra duty pay in the amount of $3,000 for a full year of service in a combination class or on a pro rata basis for service of less than a full year.
Combination Class. The District agrees to make a good faith effort to place unit members who teach a combination class in one of the two grade levels of their combination class when enrollment no longer necessitates said combination class.
Combination Class. A teacher assigned to a 4/5 combination class will receive a pay equal to two percent (2%) of the employee’s placement on the Salary Schedule if class enrollment averages thirty (30) or more students for a period beginning with the CBEDS date and concluding no less than six (6) months from that date.
Combination Class. Bargaining Unit Members who must teach a combination class in a regular self-contained classroom with more than one designated grade level shall be compensated with a $2,000 stipend for the year in which the assignment occurs and with one release day per year, with the exact date being subject to site administrative approval. In order for the Bargaining Unit Member to receive the additional compensation, the assignment must last twenty (20) consecutive working days. Team teaching or a job share does not constitute a combination class unless there is more than one designated grade level in the regular self-contained classroom.
Combination Class. 15.8.1 Definition: A combination class combines two or more grade levels, TK-6, created by the administration because of space and/or staff limitations and to which a teacher is assigned.
15.8.2 After the 20th day of school, individual teachers of combination classes will receive additional compensation in the amount of one unit stipend, not to exceed a total of $30,000 for all combination classes for the year. If the total amount exceeds $30,000, the $30,000 will be divided equally among those teachers who are assigned combination classes.
Combination Class. 10.3.1 Combination grade level classes shall be kept to a minimum. Teachers of combination grade level classes shall be chosen on a voluntary basis. If volunteers are insufficient, a unit member, excluding preliminary credentialed teachers, may be involuntarily reassigned to teach the combination grade level class. Reassignments to combination classes shall be rotated on an equitable basis, consistent with the best needs of students, and with the goal of not assigning a unit member to a combination class a second time before all unit members at the two grade levels involved in the combination have been assigned a combination class.
