Command Staff. 9.1 MDPD recognizes the importance of the Town Commander in the provision of law enforcement services to the Town, and will make every effort to designate a Town Commander who will be responsive to the Town and the community, meet the needs of area residents, businesses and visitors, and ensure the highest level of law enforcement activities are provided to the Town. The Town Commander shall, among other specified duties, act as liaison between the Town and MDPD. 9.2 In the event of a vacancy in the Town Commander position, the Town Manager shall be entitled to select the Town Commander. The Town Commander shall be selected from nominations provided by the Director or designee to the Town Manager. The nominees shall be of duly sworn and qualified MDPD Majors, and Captains and may include the next lower ranked position if no acceptable candidates are available. Prior to selection, the Town Manager shall solicit input and concerns from the Director prior to the designation of the Town Commander. The Director or designee shall advise the Town Manager of any nominees who have elected to participate in the Deferred Retirement Option Program (DROP). In the event of a vacancy in 9.3 In the event the Town becomes dissatisfied with the performance of the Town Commander, specific concerns regarding performance should be discussed with the Division Chief to ascertain avenues of resolution and immediate remediation, if any. 9.4 In the event the Town becomes dissatisfied with the response of the Division Chief, specific concerns regarding Town Commander’s performance should be discussed with the Director or his/her designee to ascertain avenues of resolution and immediate remediation, if any. 9.5 MDPD agrees to act expeditiously and in good faith in resolving any problems experienced by the Town and in replacing the Town Commander. If specific issues cannot be resolved, the Town Manager shall request removal of the Town Commander. The Director or designee shall honor the Town Manager’s request and designate a new Town Commander through the selection process prescribed in Section 9.1 of this Agreement. 9.6 The Town Commander will be permanently located in the same facility as police personnel assigned to the Town. Command Staff. The Command Staff consists of the Public Information Officer (XXX), Safety Officer (SO), and Liaison Officer (LO). They report directly to the Incident Commander (IC). They may have an Assistant or Assistants, as needed. Is responsible for monitoring and assessing safety hazards or unsafe situations, and for developing measures for ensuring personnel safety: from contaminated wastewater, electrical hazards, and fatigue. Etc. The Safety (SO):  Monitors worker safety,  Advises the Incident Commander (IC) on disaster or emergency management safety,  Works with the Operations Section Chief (OSC) to ensure safety of field personnel, and  Ensures safety of all personnel involved with the disaster or emergency. Is responsible for interfacing with the public and media or with other agencies with incident-related information requirements. The Public Information Officer (XXX):  Works with the media to ensure that evacuation orders are communicated to affected neighbors,  Prepare releases with information about the status of the community prior to the next morning,  Arrange a press briefing in advance of the next news cycle,  Advises the incident commander on information releases and media relations,  Obtains information from and provides information to the Planning Section, and  Obtains information from and provides information to the community and the media. Is responsible for coordinating with representatives from cooperating and assisting agencies. The Liaison Officer (LO):  Serves as the point of contact for supporting agencies and organizations,  Coordinates with communities that are providing mutual aid and with private- sector utilities that are supporting the response,  Works with the business community to identify response needs, and  Provides briefings to and answers questions from supporting agencies and organizations.

  • Project Staff Contractor shall appoint to the Project Staff: (i) individuals with suitable training and skills to provide the Work, and (ii) sufficient staffing to adequately provide the Work. Contractor shall make commercially reasonable efforts consistent with sound business practices to honor the specific request of the JBE with regard to assignment of its employees. The JBE may require Contractor to remove any personnel from the Project Staff that interact with any personnel of the Judicial Branch Entities or JBE Contractors (including, without limitation, the Contractor Project Manager) upon providing to Contractor a reason (permitted by law) for such removal. Contractor may, with the JBE’s consent, continue to retain such member of the Project Staff in a role that does not interact with any personnel of the Judicial Branch Entities or

  • Help Desk A help desk for Product support issues (the “Help Desk”) will be available to Customer. Unless specified in an Order, Customer should contact 000.000.0000 to receive a telephone number for the applicable supporting Solutions & Support Center. Customer will appoint one Product administrator and one backup administrator to serve as the primary point of contact regarding maintenance services.

  • Office and Support Staff During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to an office or offices of a size and with furnishings and other appointments, and to exclusive personal secretarial and other assistance, at least equal to the most favorable of the foregoing provided to the Executive by the Company and its affiliated companies at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as provided generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • Support Staff The College shall designate a clerical person on each campus whose primary responsibility will be to perform clerical duties related to workload assignments for Employees. Faculty assignments to the clerical person shall be given priority over non- faculty assignments. Any conflicts shall be reported to the Chief Academic Officer or to an academic officer of the College who holds the rank of Campus Director or higher. Employees will be notified of the identity of this person and the clerical person will be notified.

  • Configuration Management The Contractor shall maintain a configuration management program, which shall provide for the administrative and functional systems necessary for configuration identification, control, status accounting and reporting, to ensure configuration identity with the UCEU and associated cables produced by the Contractor. The Contractor shall maintain a Contractor approved Configuration Management Plan that complies with ANSI/EIA-649 2011. Notwithstanding ANSI/EIA-649 2011, the Contractor’s configuration management program shall comply with the VLS Configuration Management Plans, TL130-AD-PLN-010-VLS, and shall comply with the following:

  • PROMOTIONS AND STAFF CHANGES 11.01 Job Postings a) When a vacancy occurs or a new position is created for a regular position which the Employer has decided to fill it shall be posted on all bulletin boards for five (5) working days and filled within forty (40) working days of the posting closing. Positions may be advertised in the media only after the Employer has determined an internal applicant is not the successful applicant. Where the Employer decides not to fill a vacant position, the Employer will provide an explanation to the Union if so requested. b) The Employer, on a temporary basis, may fill a posted position during the posting and selection period. c) For temporary positions of up to forty-two (42) days, a posting is not required. Positions of longer than forty-two (42) days (seventy-eight (78) days only in the case of temporary aquatic program positions) shall be posted except where the vacancy is created by the absence of an Employee due to vacation. d) If a temporary position is made into a regular position, the new regular position shall be posted at least 14 days prior to the end of the temporary position. (i) A posting shall include the following information: Nature of position, qualifications, skills, required knowledge and education, current shift hours and days, number of hours of work per week, and wage rate. (ii) Such qualifications may not be established in an arbitrary or discriminatory manner, and shall reflect the contents of the Job Description. 11.02 Role of Seniority in Appointments, Promotions, Demotions and Transfers a) Both parties recognize the principle of promotion within the service of the Employer in the bargaining unit (i) For classifications required by their job description to supervise other employees in the bargaining unit listed in XXX#4, appointments, promotions, demotions, and transfers shall be based on the ability, knowledge, qualifications and seniority of the Regular Employees considered. Where the ability, qualifications and knowledge of the applicants are relatively equal, the senior applicant will be the successful candidate. (ii) For all other classifications, where the ability, qualifications and knowledge are sufficient to perform the functions of the posted position, the senior applicant shall be appointed. c) If the position is not filled by a Regular Employee in (i) or (ii) above, the ability and qualifications of Casual, Temporary and Seasonal Employees shall be considered, and if relatively equal, the senior applicant as determined in Article 10.05 shall be appointed. d) If the position is not filled by an Employee in b (i), (ii), or c) above, all other applicants shall be considered.

  • Classroom Management The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates in his/her performance a competent level of knowledge and skill in organizing the physical and human elements in the educational setting.

  • Staff The salaries of and all other expenses on the staff to be employed for the Common Purposes (including bonus and other emoluments and benefits).
