Committee on Assignments. In a case where an elective class is being offered and no clear credential is authorized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), the Committee on Assignments will evaluate the qualifications of credentialed teachers whose knowledge and training best fulfills the needs of the students. The Committee on Assignments is established with the approval of the superintendent and the governing board; it will consist of two teachers, selected by the Federation Executive Board, and two school administrators, selected by school administrators, as required by the CTC.

Committee on Assignments. The Superintendent or designee shall establish a Committee on Assignments which may grant approval for the assignment of full-time teachers to teach courses outside their credential authorization as permitted by law in an area for which they have special skills or preparation. The committee shall include an equal number of teachers, selected by teachers pursuant to procedures established by CVSTA, and school administrators selected by school administrators.
Committee on Assignments. 11.9.1 A Committee on Assignments shall be established as provided for in the Education Code to approve teachers, who volunteer to do so, to teach an assignment outside of the teacher’s credential authorization. The Association will select one (1) middle school and one (1) high school teacher to serve on this committee. The District will select two (2) administrators to serve on this committee.

Every effort shall be made to schedule Committee on Assignments meetings during the regular work hours of the bargaining unit members. In the event that committee meetings are scheduled outside of such regular work hours, bargaining unit members shall be paid at the extra duty pay rate for bargaining unit members, or, if they should so elect, they shall be granted compensatory time off to be taken in half day increments at the bargaining unit member's discretion. SRVEA does not waive its right to pursue remedies in any appropriate arena in the event that the District miss-assigns members of the bargaining unit.

If the Division approves a transfer of the Grantee’s obligations, the Grantee shall remain liable for all work performed and all expenses incurred in connection with this Agreement. In the event the Legislature transfers the rights, duties and obligations of the Division to another governmental entity, pursuant to Section 20.06, Florida Statutes or otherwise, the rights, duties and obligations under this Agreement shall be transferred to the succeeding governmental agency as if it was the original party to this Agreement.
