Community Awareness, Support and Involvement. History of Xxxxxxxx Lake Community Forest Application 1999 - The City of Xxxxxxxx Lake and the Xxxxxxxx Lake Indian Band both expressed interest in acquiring a Community Forest Agreement in response to the Province’s call for proposals in 1999. The City’s expression of interest was accompanied by approximately 60 letters of support from businesses, groups, clubs and individuals. Since then, there has been ongoing, widespread support for Xxxxxxxx Lake acquiring a Community Forest Agreement. 2007 - In July 2007, Minister Xxxxxxx extended an invitation to the City to apply for a Community Forest Agreement. The invitation was accompanied by a News Release, which was picked up by local media. 2009 - In January 2009, the City and the Band signed a Letter of Understanding committing to work together on getting the Minister to amend the City’s invitation to apply for a Community Forest Agreement to include the Xxxxxxxx Lake Indian Band. 2011 - In June 2011, Minister Xxxxxxx invited the City of Xxxxxxxx Lake and the Xxxxxxxx Lake Indian Band to jointly apply for a Community Forest Agreement. The invitation was accompanied by a News Release, which was picked up by local media. Community Awareness and Support 1. Maps and other information regarding the Xxxxxxxx Lake Community Forest were distributed to community members via: • Website • Media • Open HousesDirect contact 2. Recognition that this application has been endorsed by the City and the Band. • Letter of Understanding between the Band and the City. • Twenty-one City Council resolutions between 1998 and 2012 have related to the Community Forest application. • Band Council resolutions endorsing the application process, most recently November 2011. • City and Band Council resolutions dated September 2012, endorsing this application package and its submission. 3. Recognition of the application in by-laws or resolutions of the legal entity; • Bylaws or incorporation documents for the Limited Partnership specifically recognize the application. 4. Direct communication with stakeholders holding overlapping tenures by mail, email, and phone calls. 5. Community Awareness, Support and Involvement. Describe the level of support, awareness and commitment by the community. The submission must contain proof that that there is a high level of community awareness of the application and strong support for the application from a broad cross-section of the community. Examples of how this proof could be demonstrated include, but are not limited to: (a) distribution of information newsletters or brochures to community members; (b) recognition of the application in an official community plan or endorsement by a city, regional district or band council; (c) recognition of the application in by-laws or resolutions, of the legal entity; (d) community meeting(s) respecting the application; (e) results of a community survey respecting the application; (f) letters of support from licensees that operate in or near the proposed land base; and (g) letters of support representative of a broad range of community members and stakeholders regarding the application. It is the responsibility of the applicant to determine the methods that will provide proof of broad community support and awareness within their community. The minimum mandatory requirements are: 9.1 Letters of Support To ensure that letters of support for the application are considered, they must be included with the application. If letters of support are more than 3 months old, the applicant must confirm that they are still valid with regard to the content of the application. 9.2 Report on the public input event(s) The applicant must hold at least one public meeting, open house or other event to obtain input from the public and affected stakeholders regarding the application. Subsequent meetings may be required prior to submission of the application (dependant on outcomes of prior meetings).The event(s) must allow the public to present thoughts orally and in writing by completing a questionnaire, or by providing written statements at the event(s) or delivered to the applicant up to 3 weeks following the event(s). The applicant will be responsible for advertising, coordinating and providing relevant information regarding the application to the public before and during the event(s). Ministry of Forests and Range staff may attend the event(s) and may also provide information to the public. Prior to the commencement of the public event(s) the applicant must provide the district manager with notice of the public input event(s) including the proposed format, date, location and advertisement strategy.   • Community Engagement Integration Activities The SP will support the HSP to engage the community of diverse persons and entities in the area where it provides health services when setting priorities for the delivery of health services and when developing plans for submission to the LHIN including but not limited to CAPS and integration proposals.

  • Community Involvement The Grantee will facilitate and convene a Community Task Force as one means of developing collaboration among the Grantee, affected residents, and the broader community. The Grantee also will provide information to keep the Community Task Force fully apprised of the planning and implementation of revitalization efforts. The Community Task Force shall be comprised of affected public housing residents, local government officials, service providers, community groups, and others. The Community Task Force will provide advice, counsel and recommendations to the Grantee on all aspects of the HOPE VI development process, including shaping the goals and outcome of the Community and Supportive Services Plan. Community Task Force participants also will disseminate information throughout the community about the Grantee's revitalization efforts. The Grantee's responsibilities with regard to the Community Task Force include: (1) convening and participating in the Community Task Force and other advisory groups; (2) ensuring that regular meetings of the Community Task Force are held to apprise participants of the status of the development process and to solicit comments, opinions, advice, and recommendations on the planning and implementation of the Grantee's revitalization efforts; and (3) if requested by HUD, entering into a memorandum of understanding with the members of the Community Task Force setting forth the manner and frequency of task force meetings, the method (if any) for designating resident and community participants, and the issues that the task force will discuss and develop.

  • Research Independence The Company acknowledges that each Underwriter’s research analysts and research departments, if any, are required to be independent from their respective investment banking divisions and are subject to certain regulations and internal policies, and that such Underwriter’s research analysts may hold and make statements or investment recommendations and/or publish research reports with respect to the Company and/or the offering that differ from the views of its investment bankers. The Company hereby waives and releases, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any claims that the Company may have against such Underwriter with respect to any conflict of interest that may arise from the fact that the views expressed by their independent research analysts and research departments may be different from or inconsistent with the views or advice communicated to the Company by such Underwriter’s investment banking divisions. The Company acknowledges that the Representative is a full service securities firm and as such from time to time, subject to applicable securities laws, may effect transactions for its own account or the account of its customers and hold long or short position in debt or equity securities of the Company.

  • Community Engagement The HSP will engage the community of diverse persons and entities in the area where it provides health services when setting priorities for the delivery of health services and when developing plans for submission to the LHIN including but not limited to CAPS and integration proposals. As part of its community engagement activities, the HSPs will have in place and utilize effective mechanisms for engaging families, caregivers, clients, residents, patients and other individuals who use the services of the HSP, to help inform the HSP plans, including the HSP’s contribution to the establishment and implementation by the LHIN of geographic sub-regions in its local health system.

  • CERTIFICATION REGARDING CERTAIN FOREIGN-OWNED COMPANIES IN CONNECTION WITH CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE (Texas law as of September 1, 2021) By submitting a proposal to this Solicitation, you certify that you agree to the following required by Texas law as of September 1, 2021: Proposing Company is prohibited from entering into a contract or other agreement relating to critical infrastructure that would grant to the company direct or remote access to or control of critical infrastructure in this state, excluding access specifically allowed by the Proposing Company for product warranty and support purposes. Company, certifies that neither it nor its parent company nor any affiliate of company or its parent company, is (1) owned by or the majority of stock or other ownership interest of the company is held or controlled by individuals who are citizens of China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or a designated country; (2) a company or other entity, including governmental entity, that is owned or controlled by citizens of or is directly controlled by the government of China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or a designated country; or (3) headquartered in China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or a designated country. For purposes of this contract, “critical infrastructure” means “a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility.” See Tex. Gov’t Code § 2274.0101(2) of SB 1226 (87th leg.). The company verifies and certifies that company will not grant direct or remote access to or control of critical infrastructure, except for product warranty and support purposes, to prohibited individuals, companies, or entities, including governmental entities, owned, controlled, or headquartered in China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or a designated country, as determined by the Governor.

  • Information and Services Required of the Owner The Owner shall provide information with reasonable promptness, regarding requirements for and limitations on the Project, including a written program which shall set forth the Owner’s objectives, constraints, and criteria, including schedule, space requirements and relationships, flexibility and expandability, special equipment, systems, sustainability and site requirements.

  • Foreign-Owned Companies in Connection with Critical Infrastructure If Texas Government Code, Section 2274.0102(a)(1) (relating to prohibition on contracts with certain foreign-owned companies in connection with critical infrastructure) is applicable to this Contract, pursuant to Government Code Section 2274.0102, Contractor certifies that neither it nor its parent company, nor any affiliate of Contractor or its parent company, is: (1) majority owned or controlled by citizens or governmental entities of China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or any other country designated by the Governor under Government Code Section 2274.0103, or (2) headquartered in any of those countries.

  • Requester and Approved User Responsibilities The Requester agrees through the submission of the DAR that the PI named has reviewed and understands the principles for responsible research use and data management of the genomic datasets as defined in the NIH Security Best Practices for Controlled-Access Data Subject to the GDS Policy. The Requester and Approved Users further acknowledge that they are responsible for ensuring that all uses of the data are consistent with national, tribal, and state laws and regulations, as appropriate, as well as relevant institutional policies and procedures for managing sensitive genomic and phenotypic data. The Requester certifies that the PI is in good standing (i.e., no known sanctions) with the institution, relevant funding agencies, and regulatory agencies and is eligible to conduct independent research (i.e., is not a postdoctoral fellow, student, or trainee). The Requester and any Approved Users may use the dataset(s) only in accordance with the parameters described on the study page and in the 1 If contractor services are to be utilized, PI requesting the data must provide a brief description of the services that the contractor will perform for the PI (e.g., data cleaning services) in the research use statement of the DAR. Additionally, the Key Personnel section of the DAR must include the name of the contractor’s employee(s) who will conduct the work. The Requester and Approved Users agree to comply with the terms listed in the Addendum. Through submission of the DAR, the PI and Requester agree to submit a Project Renewal or Project Close-out prior to the expiration date of the one (1) year data access period. The PI also agrees to submit an annual Progress Update prior to the one (1) year anniversary2 of the project, as described under Research Use Reporting (Term 10) below. By approving and submitting the attached DAR, the Institutional Signing Official provides assurance that relevant institutional policies and applicable local, state, tribal, and federal laws and regulations, as applicable, have been followed, including IRB approval, if required. Approved Users may be required to have IRB approval if they have access to personal identifying information for research participants in the original study at their institution, or through their collaborators. The Institutional Signing Official also assures, through the approval of the DAR, that other institutional departments with relevant authorities (e.g., those overseeing human subjects research, information technology, technology transfer) have reviewed the relevant sections of the NIH GDS Policy and the associated procedures and are in agreement with the principles defined. The Requester acknowledges that controlled-access datasets subject to the NIH GDS Policy may be updated to exclude or include additional information. Unless otherwise indicated, all statements herein are presumed to be true and applicable to the access and use of all versions of these datasets.
