Community Awareness, Support and Involvement. History of Xxxxxxxx Lake Community Forest Application 1999 - The City of Xxxxxxxx Lake and the Xxxxxxxx Lake Indian Band both expressed interest in acquiring a Community Forest Agreement in response to the Province’s call for proposals in 1999. The City’s expression of interest was accompanied by approximately 60 letters of support from businesses, groups, clubs and individuals. Since then, there has been ongoing, widespread support for Xxxxxxxx Lake acquiring a Community Forest Agreement. 2007 - In July 2007, Minister Xxxxxxx extended an invitation to the City to apply for a Community Forest Agreement. The invitation was accompanied by a News Release, which was picked up by local media. City Council passed a resolution providing direction and goals for the Community Forest Agreement and establishing a Community Advisory Group to ensure citizen’s input. Initial contact was made with neighbouring First Nations and the forest industry (Xxxx Xxxxxx Xxxxx Ltd. and Tolko Industries Ltd.) to begin discussions about candidate areas and forest management. Xxxx Xxxxxx and Xxxxx were supportive of the City acquiring a Community Forest Agreement, although they were concerned about the impact to their operating areas and harvesting plans. Xats’ull (Soda Creek) and Esketemc (Alkali) First Nations, both of which had already existing interests in community forests, didn’t express any concerns with the City acquiring a Community Forest Agreement providing the areas selected did not conflict with potential treaty settlement lands and/or areas of high traditional importance. The Xxxxxxxx Lake Indian Band (Band) expressed concern that the City had received an invitation while the Band had yet to receive a satisfactory response from the Province to their request for a community forest. At that point, the City decided to support the Band’s pursuit of a Community Forest Agreement. 2009 - In January 2009, the City and the Band signed a Letter of Understanding committing to work together on getting the Minister to amend the City’s invitation to apply for a Community Forest Agreement to include the Xxxxxxxx Lake Indian Band. The City and the Band worked cooperatively to develop options regarding a joint Xxxxxxxx Lake Community Forest for the Minister’s consideration. Meanwhile work continued on identifying and assessing candidate areas including discussions with Xxxx Xxxxxx, Xxxxx and BC Xxxxxx Xxxxx, draGing statements of intent and business principles that would be acceptable to...

The submission must contain proof that that there is a high level of community awareness of the application and strong support for the application from a broad cross-section of the community.   • Community Engagement Integration Activities The SP will support the HSP to engage the community of diverse persons and entities in the area where it provides health services when setting priorities for the delivery of health services and when developing plans for submission to the LHIN including but not limited to CAPS and integration proposals.

  • Community Involvement The Grantee will facilitate and convene a Community Task Force as one means of developing collaboration among the Grantee, affected residents, and the broader community. The Grantee also will provide information to keep the Community Task Force fully apprised of the planning and implementation of revitalization efforts. The Community Task Force shall be comprised of affected public housing residents, local government officials, service providers, community groups, and others. The Community Task Force will provide advice, counsel and recommendations to the Grantee on all aspects of the HOPE VI development process, including shaping the goals and outcome of the Community and Supportive Services Plan. Community Task Force participants also will disseminate information throughout the community about the Grantee's revitalization efforts. The Grantee's responsibilities with regard to the Community Task Force include:

  • Security Awareness Training 1. The Contractor’s employees, Subcontractors/Vendors, and volunteers handling confidential, sensitive and/or personal identifying information must complete the required CDA Security Awareness Training module located at xxxxx://xxx.xxxxx.xx.xxx/ProgramsProviders/#Resources within thirty (30) days of the start date of the Contract/Agreement, within thirty (30) days of the start date of any new employee, Subcontractor, Vendor or volunteer’s employment and annually thereafter.

  • Monitoring and Management Information C10.1 The Contractor shall comply with the monitoring arrangements set out in the Monitoring Schedule including, but not limited to, providing such data and information as the Contractor may be required to produce under the Contract.

  • Information and Support The NTO shall obtain from the ISO, and the ISO shall provide to the NTO, the necessary information and support services to comply with their obligations under this Article.

  • Community Outreach Please describe all community outreach efforts undertaken since the last report.

  • Data Protection Impact Assessment and Prior Consultation Processor shall provide reasonable assistance to the Company with any data protection impact assessments, and prior consultations with Supervising Authorities or other competent data privacy authorities, which Company reasonably considers to be required by article 35 or 36 of the GDPR or equivalent provisions of any other Data Protection Law, in each case solely in relation to Processing of Company Personal Data by, and taking into account the nature of the Processing and information available to, the Contracted Processors.

  • Security Awareness and Training We have implemented and maintain an information security and awareness program that is delivered to employees and appropriate contractors at the time of hire or contract commencement and annually thereafter. The awareness program is delivered electronically and includes a testing aspect with minimum requirements to pass. Additionally, development staff members are provided with secure code development training.

  • Community Engagement The HSP will engage the community of diverse persons and entities in the area where it provides health services when setting priorities for the delivery of health services and when developing plans for submission to the LHIN including but not limited to CAPS and integration proposals. As part of its community engagement activities, the HSPs will have in place and utilize effective mechanisms for engaging families, caregivers, clients, residents, patients and other individuals who use the services of the HSP, to help inform the HSP plans, including the HSP’s contribution to the establishment and implementation by the LHIN of geographic sub-regions in its local health system.

  • CERTIFICATION REGARDING CERTAIN FOREIGN-OWNED COMPANIES IN CONNECTION WITH CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE (Texas law as of September 1, 2021) By submitting a proposal to this Solicitation, you certify that you agree to the following required by Texas law as of September 1, 2021: Proposing Company is prohibited from entering into a contract or other agreement relating to critical infrastructure that would grant to the company direct or remote access to or control of critical infrastructure in this state, excluding access specifically allowed by the Proposing Company for product warranty and support purposes. Company, certifies that neither it nor its parent company nor any affiliate of company or its parent company, is (1) owned by or the majority of stock or other ownership interest of the company is held or controlled by individuals who are citizens of China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or a designated country; (2) a company or other entity, including governmental entity, that is owned or controlled by citizens of or is directly controlled by the government of China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or a designated country; or (3) headquartered in China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or a designated country. For purposes of this contract, “critical infrastructure” means “a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility.” See Tex. Gov’t Code § 2274.0101(2) of SB 1226 (87th leg.). The company verifies and certifies that company will not grant direct or remote access to or control of critical infrastructure, except for product warranty and support purposes, to prohibited individuals, companies, or entities, including governmental entities, owned, controlled, or headquartered in China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or a designated country, as determined by the Governor.
