STATEMENTS OF INTENT. It was agreed during negotiations that there would be the following statements of intent which would not be included in the body of the Agreement.

STATEMENTS OF INTENT. Section 2.01 IMMC and Milco (collectively the "Venturers" and singularly a "Venturer") desire to join in the formation of a joint venture in the State of California for the purposes and on the terms set forth in this Agreement.
Section 2.02 It is the general intention of Milco:
(a) To obtain title to those parcels set forth in the Nevada County Records office in Book 9, page 68 as parcels 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36, comprising approximately 21. 5 acres, for the purpose of developing said parcels for industrial/ commercial use (the “Milco Parcels”).
(b) To apply for annexation of the Milco Parcels into the City of Grass Valley, Nevada County, California. Milco may proceed with the annexation process of the Milco parcels within thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement. Milco shall, when possible, coordinate its application with the IMMC application.
(c) The construction of a road from a Milco Parcel, having frontage on Whispering Pines Lane, at a location determined by the joint venture as provided more fully in Section 2.05 below.
(d) To allocate responsibilities for any toxic or environmental remediation required on the respective parcels as provided in Section 12.02 below
(e) To provide lot line adjustments from the southern boundary line of each of Milco Parcel numbers 30, 33 and 36, northward, to effect an increase in the size of each of IMMC Parcel numbers 19, 29 and 30, respectively, not to exceed ten percent (10%) of the total square feet of each of the effected Milco parcels. These lot line adjustments (and the square footage calculation) may not be cumulated; the adjustment of the lot line(s) shall apply evenly across the northern boundary lines of IMMC Parcel numbers 19, 29 and 30.
(f) To acquire, if feasible, and cooperatively develop, with IMMC, the fifty four (54) acres south and west of the IMMC Parcels for residential use as set forth in Section 2.07 below.
(g) To develop the Milco parcels in a cooperative manner with IMMC, as provided in Section 2.06 below
Section 2.03 It is the general intention of IMMC:
(a) To obtain title to those parcels set forth in the Nevada County Records office in Book 9, page 56 as parcels 14, 16, 18, 19, 25, 29, 30, 45, and 46, comprising approximately 45.4 acres, for the purpose of developing said parcels for commercial/industrial and mining use (the “IMMC Parcels”). STATEMENTS OF INTENT. The parties to the BCCMCBE Agreement are committed to co-operating positively to increase the structural efficiency of BCC and to provide employees with access to more fulfilling, varied and better-paid work by providing measures to, for instance: • improve skill levels and establish skill-related career paths; • eliminate impediments to multi-skilling; • broaden the range of tasks which a worker may be required to perform; • achieve greater flexibility in workplace practices; • eliminate discrimination; • establish rates of pay and conditions that are fair and equitable; • work reasonable hours; • ensure flexibility for work and family responsibilities; and • ensure the delivery of quality services to the community and continuous improvement.
STATEMENTS OF INTENT. All provisions in this Agreement headed “Statement of Intent” are designed to explain the background to and intent of the substantive provisions which follow in the relevant Section. Such provisions must be used as an aid to interpretation of substantive provisions and an interpretation of a substantive provision which furthers the stated intent of any Section must be preferred to one which does not.
STATEMENTS OF INTENT. 2.1 In delivering the Services, the Supplier shall at all times ensure that:
2.1.1 the Services are sustainable and contribute to Network Rail’s policy objectives in relation to reduction of carbon emissions;
2.1.2 the Services are provided in accordance with this Framework Agreement and each Call-Off Contract; and
2.1.3 any accreditation to the extent required under this Framework Agreement and/or any Call-Off Contracts is maintained (at its cost and expense) to the required level;
2.1.4 they efficiently and effectively implement the Services, sub-contracting where appropriate in accordance with clause 27 (Transfer and Sub-Contracting) to support Network Rail’s business objectives;
2.1.5 they work transparently with Network Rail with a focus on best value (including best price), innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement, including in accordance with clause 4.7 (Service Improvement); and
2.1.6 they develop Network Rail’s Information Management Function.
2.2 The Supplier has been appointed and Network Rail has entered into this Framework Agreement on the basis of the Tender and, in particular, the representations made by the Supplier to Network Rail in relation to its competence, professionalism and ability to provide the Services in an efficient and cost effective manner.
STATEMENTS OF INTENT. (a) Plunket accepts that for Clinical Leaders pay parity with the NZNO/Te Whatu Ora Collective Agreement Senior Nurse Scale Grade 3 (formerly Grade 5) represents an appropriate benchmark. Plunket will continue to work towards achieving this goal.
(b) Plunket accepts that for Clinical Nurse Consultant and National Educator positions pay parity with the NZNO/Te Whatu Ora Collective Agreement Senior Nurse Scale Grade 2-3 (formerly Grade 4-5) represents an appropriate benchmark. Plunket will continue to work towards achieving this goal.
(c) Plunket accepts that for National Advisors pay parity with the NZNO/Te Whatu Ora Collective Agreement Senior Nurse Scale Grade 3-4 (formerly Grade 5-6) represents an appropriate benchmark. Plunket will continue to work towards achieving this goal.
(d) Plunket accepts that for Registered Nurses pay parity with the NZNO/Te Whatu Ora Collective Agreement Registered Nurse Scale Grade 1 - 7 represents an appropriate benchmark. Plunket will continue to work towards achieving this goal. Effective 1 July 2023 Registered Nurses on Step 8 will translate to Step 7.
(e) Plunket accepts that for Clinical Staff other than the Senior Nurses specified above, pay parity with the NZNO/Te Whatu Ora Collective Agreement rates represents an appropriate benchmark and will continue to work towards achieving this goal.
(f) Plunket accepts that for Administrative positions covered by this Collective Agreement pay parity with the Strategic Pay Health Sector Market Median represents an appropriate benchmark and will continue to work towards achieving this goal
STATEMENTS OF INTENT. It is the intent of the parties to this MOU to anticipate and diminish causes of grievances, and to settle any which arise at the lowest practical level of supervision as fairly and promptly as possible. The purposes and objectives of a grievance procedure should include the following:
1. Promote improved employer-employee relations by establishing grievance procedures on matters for which appeal or hearing is not provided by other regulations.
2. Assure fair and equitable treatment of all employees, supervisors, and management.
3. Allow employees a systematic means of obtaining further consideration of problems after every other reasonable effort has failed to resolve them through discussions.
4. Encourage the settlement of disagreements informally at the employee-supervisor level, and provide an orderly procedure to handle grievances throughout the supervisory levels where necessary.
5. Resolve grievances as quickly as possible, and correct, if possible, the causes of grievances, thereby reducing the number of grievances and future similar complaints.
6. Provide that grievances shall be settled as near as possible to the point of origin.
7. Provide that grievances shall be heard and settled as informally and timely as possible.
STATEMENTS OF INTENT. The relocation of the Oakland A’s to the Xxxxxx Terminal will result in the redistribution of commercial activity and changes in land use with potential impacts that disproportionately affect Oakland’s disadvantaged residents.
