Classification Review Committee. There shall be established a Classification Review Labor-Management Committee. The purpose of the Committee shall be to review requests as submitted to the Chief Human Resources Officer as indicated in Section 1 above. The Committee shall be comprised of three (3) representatives designated by the Human Resources Division (HRD) and three (3) representatives designated by the Chairman of the Alliance. There shall also be a representative of the Classification Division of HRD assigned to the Committee, who shall function as a resource to the Committee. With the concurrence of the full Committee, union and/or management subject matter experts may also be asked to provide information to the Committee.
Classification Review Committee. 18.4.2.1 The District Classification Review Committee shall evaluate all requests for classification review and shall submit recommendations to the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources for review and approval. Classification issues to be evaluated and recommended by the committee shall include, but not be limited to, job descriptions, qualifications, job titles, salary ranges, and assignment of positions within job series. The committee shall determine the content and format of the Request for Classification Review Form and any other documents which may be necessary to perform its function.
18.4.2.2 The Classification Review Committee shall be comprised of the District Director of Human Resources, one (1) member appointed by the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources, and three
Classification Review Committee. This procedure shall apply to all classification review requests arising from the implementation of the Plan and replaces the current grievance procedure under the collective agreement. Employees involved in the conversion review procedure have the right to be represented by their Union.
Classification Review Committee. The Employer and Union agree to establish a Joint Committee consisting of two (2) Employer representatives and two (2) CUPE representatives to review a select number of current positions for classification consideration. The Committee shall report its findings and recommendations by 2007 December 31 to their respective principals. Such recommendations shall be implemented by mutual agreement by the parties.
Classification Review Committee. The Committee shall be comprised of a sub- committee of the County Comparable Worth Committee; the membership of the sub-committee shall represent all bargaining units of the County.
Classification Review Committee. The Association and the District will establish a seven member Classification Review Committee to review job descriptions, pay ranges, and premium opportunities for positions represented by the Association. The committee will meet semi-annually to prepare recommendations for consideration by the Superintendent and the President of CEA. If mutually agreed to, the effective date of any change will be January 1 or July 1. All changes will be commemorated by a memorandum of Agreement. Recommendations of the committee are not subject to the grievance process. Job descriptions cannot be reviewed more than once every two years and pay is not retroactive.
1. Members of the committee will include:
Classification Review Committee. 1. A Classification Review Committee shall be established and shall meet at least twice each year to review all reclassification requests. The committee shall consist of four (4) members; the Association President or their designee, one additional classified unit member appointed by the chapter executive board, the Chief Human Resources Officer and their designee.
2. With guidance from Human Resources the Committee will conduct classification reviews, including an analysis of job descriptions, reclassification questionnaires, salary surveys or benchmarks, internal and external parity, and will formulate recommendations where appropriate. The committee will determine the appropriate classification, salary range placement and approve the final job description.
3. On behalf of the classification Review Committee, the Vice President of Human Resources will present the reclassifications proposals to the unit member’s supervisor, Executive Cabinet, and the Chancellor, for review.
4. If the reclassification is approved, Human Resources will prepare the Board agenda item for the Board of Trustees and notify unit members of the reclassification decision.
5. If the Board approves the reclassification, Human Resources will prepare a Personnel Action Request form for each position, along with the updated job description. The updated job description will be sent to the unit member and placed in their personnel file.
Classification Review Committee. 32 An employee requesting a review for a status upgrade within their General Job Classification must 33 submit in writing such request to the Association President and the Classified Human Resources 34 Manager. This request must include, at a minimum, the following:
Classification Review Committee. The Classification Review Committee is a part of the process for reclassification. The purpose of the Committee is to review appeals and also to monitor trends and deal with major issues. The Committee would ensure equity and consistency in the classification process. The Director, Human Resources would report to the Committee on any trends and major issues. The Committee will meet on a quarterly basis, when required or more frequently as it determines: Policy review, including monitoring and auditing; Classification statistical review, unsuccessful applications, gender and diversity; Classification appeals; and Review of standard position descriptors. The Committee may recommend an amendment to the effective date of classification where it can be shown that there has been an excessive delay in the registering of an application with Human Resources. The Committee may recommend that the applicant submit an application for salary progression in the appropriate way. The constitution of the Classification Review Committee is as follows: Director, Human Resources or nominee (Chair); Head or past Head (Vice-Chancellor’s nominee); 2 staff representatives selected by the Chair from a pool of 4 elected staff representatives on the basis of a relevant occupational group; A representative from the relevant Union; and Employee Relations Officer (Classifications). In finalising membership for each Committee the aim should be to achieve a satisfactory balance in terms of classification levels and gender. Membership will be for 3 years according to policy. The Committee will be authorised to make recommendation with a quorum of 4 members including at least 1 staff representative, 1 Union representative and the Chair.
Classification Review Committee. 36.1 A Classification Review Committee shall be established. The joint committee will be composed of three (3) members/representatives appointed by the Association President, and four (4) member/representatives appointed by the Employer. The Committee will meet at the direction of the Human Resources Department. Requests for review shall be submitted by the employee to the Human Resources Office and shall be marked confidential.
