Compensation for Clothes and Tools. An Employee whose clothes, spectacles, hearing aids or tools have been accidentally spoilt by acid, sulphur or other deleterious substances will be paid such amount to cover the loss thereby suffered by the Employee, as agreed between the Employee and the Company. An Employee will be reimbursed by the Company to a maximum of $1,315.00 for loss of tools or clothes by fire or breaking and entering whilst securely stored at the Company’s direction in a room or building on the Company’s premises, job or workshop or in a lock-up as provided, or if the tools are lost or stolen whilst being transported by the Employee at the Company’s direction, or if the tools are accidentally lost over water, or if tools are lost or stolen during an Employee’s absence after leaving the job because of injury or illness; provided that an Employee transporting their own tools takes all reasonable care to protect those tools and prevent theft or loss. Where an Employee is absent from work because of illness or accident and has advised the Company, the Company will ensure that the Employee’s tools are securely stored during their absence. Where the Company requires an Employee to wear spectacles with toughened glass lenses (or polycarbonate upgrade), the Company will reimburse the cost of the toughening process. Only tools used by the Employee in the course of their employment will be covered by this sub-clause. The Employee will, if requested to do so, furnish the Company with a list of tools so used. Reimbursement will be at the current replacement value of new tools of the same or comparable quality. The Employee will report any theft to the police prior to making a claim on the Company for replacement of stolen tools.

Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or accident and has advised the employer in accordance with clause 19 - Personal leave, the employer shall ensure that the employee's tools are securely stored during his/her absence. 9.5.5. Where an employer requires an employee to wear spectacles with toughened glass lenses the employer will reimburse the cost of the toughening process. 9.5.6. Provided that for the purposes of this clause: 9.5.6.1. Only tools used by the employee in the course of his/her employment shall be covered by this clause. 9.5.6.2. The employee shall, if requested to do so, furnish the employer with a list of tools so used. 9.5.6.3. Compensation for Clothes and Tools. (1) An employee whose clothes, spectacles, hearing aids or tools have been accidentally spoilt by acid, sulphur or other deleterious substances, shall be paid such amount to cover the loss thereby suffered by him/her as may be agreed upon between him/her and his/her employer or, in default of agreement, as may be fixed by the appropriate Board of Reference. (a) An employee shall be reimbursed by his/her employer to a maximum of $1283.00 for loss of tools or clothes by fire or breaking and entering whilst securely stored at the employer's direction in a room or building on the employer's premises, job or workshop or in a lock- up as provided in this award or if the tools are lost or stolen during an employee's absence after leaving the job because of injury or illness. Provided that an employee transporting his/her own tools shall take all reasonable care to protect those tools and prevent theft or loss. (b) Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or accident and has advised the employer in accordance with Clause 21. - Sick Leave the employer shall ensure that the employee's tools are securely stored during his/her absence. (3) When an employer requires an employee to wear spectacles with toughened glass lenses the employer will pay the cost of the toughening process. (4) Provided that for the purposes of this clause - (a) Only tools used by the employee in the course of his/her employment shall be covered by this clause. (b) The employee shall, if requested to do so, furnish the employer with a list of tools so used. (c) Reimbursement shall be at the current replacement value of new tools of the same or comparable quality. (d) The employee shall report any theft to the police prior to making a claim on the employer for replacement of stolen tools.
Compensation for Clothes and Tools. 11.3.1 An employee shall be reimbursed by the employer to a maximum of $1,431 for loss of tools or clothes by fire or theft whilst securely stored at the employer’s direction in a room or building on the employer’s premises, job or workshop or in a lock-up as provided in the Building Trades Public Sector Award – State 2002 or if the tools are lost or stolen while being transported by the employee at the employer’s direction, or if the tools are accidentally lost over water or if the tools are lost or stolen leaving the job because of injury or illness: Provided that an employee transporting the employee’s tools shall take all reasonable care to protect those tools and prevents theft or loss. 11.3.2 This amount shall be adjusted; with variations to clause 10.
Compensation for Clothes and Tools. 34.1 An Employee shall be reimbursed by UGI to a maximum of $1315.00 for: a) loss of tools or clothes by fire or breaking and entering whilst securely stored at UGI’s direction in a room or building on the Employers premises, job or workshop; or b) if the tools are lost or stolen while being transported by the Employee at UGI’s direction; or c) if the tools are accidentally lost over water whilst work is being undertaken on the Project; or d) if tools are lost or stolen during an Employee’s absence after leaving the job because of injury or illness; or e) are lost or stolen where the Employee does not report for work because of illness or accident and has advised the employer of such absence in accordance with this Agreement. 34.2 An Employee transporting their own tools shall take all reasonable care to protect those tools and prevent theft or loss. 34.3 For the purposes of this clause; a) Only tools used by the Employee in the course of the employment shall be covered by this clause. b) The Employee shall, if requested to do so, furnish the employer with a list of tools so used.
