COMPENSATION FOR EXTRA RESPONSIBILITIES. Full-time faculty members engaged in extra responsibilities beyond the normal contract responsibilities shall be compensated in accordance with the Part time Faculty Salary Schedule of Chemeketa Community College with the exception of on-line classes, which are covered in Section (e) below. a. Faculty who volunteer for additional teaching/non-teaching assignments shall be compensated in accordance with the Part-time Faculty Salary Schedule of Chemeketa Community College whenever such duties are outlined on that schedule. b. Faculty may also volunteer for extra responsibilities beyond the normal workload. If such extra responsibilities are not outlined on the Part-time Faculty Salary Schedule, then Article 23.A.1 is to be literally followed. c. Voluntary assignments shall be mutually agreed upon between the instructor and supervisor, and shall be confirmed upon signing a part time contract and/or submitting a signed timesheet seeking hourly reimbursement based on the Part time Faculty Salary Schedule. d. Part time salary for probationary faculty or grant funded faculty will be at Step 1 of the current part-time faculty schedule for the first year of employment, Step 3 for the second year of employment, Step 5 for the third year of employment, Step 7 for the fourth year of employment and Step 8 for the fifth year of employment
COMPENSATION FOR EXTRA RESPONSIBILITIES. ‌ 1. Employees engaged in extra responsibilities beyond the normal contract responsibilities shall be compensated in accordance with their annual salary in place at that time. 2. Extra responsibilities are defined as those that exceed normal full time faculty job responsibilities and are required by the College. 3. Any faculty who feels their job duties have exceeded the normal full time responsibilities may submit a written request to have their job duties reviewed and assessed for additional compensation. This request shall outline the extra responsibilities, when they started, why they started, and how long they are expected to last. It shall also include an estimate of time for doing said extra duties. This request shall be signed by the applying faculty and their immediate supervisor. The request shall be sent to the Chief Academic Officer or other College designee executive assistant who will put it on the agenda of the next regularly scheduled meeting. a. The Committee will consist of three UCC Faculty Association members appointed by the Association and three UCC College Administrators appointed by the President. Co- Chairs consisting of one administrator and one faculty will enforce the 6 person limit. Meetings will only proceed if the exact number of members from each side are present - no more or no less unless mutually agreed upon before the meeting by all members of the Committee, the President of the College, and the President of the UCC Faculty Association. b. If there is a "tie" in the Committee vote the final decision shall be determined through a mutual decision between the UCC Faculty Association President and the UCC College President. c. This Committee shall have full rights and authority to evaluate the extra duties request and shall not have to consult with other committees. d. This Committee shall have full rights to award compensation without consultation with other committees. e. This Committee shall not be limited to awarding compensation based on budgetary reasons. f. Once a decision to award compensation has been made, the applicant shall receive back pay to the date of their initial request. g. Pay shall begin within 2 pay periods from the date of the decision from the Committee. 4. Overload compensation is excluded from this article.
COMPENSATION FOR EXTRA RESPONSIBILITIES. When allocating workloads, principals will take into consideration the total commitment of each person to the life of the school. Where teachers are required by the principal to accept extra responsibility in the school a form of compensation will be negotiated prior to the commencement of the activity.

  • Developer Compensation for Emergency Services If, during an Emergency State, the Developer provides services at the request or direction of the NYISO or Connecting Transmission Owner, the Developer will be compensated for such services in accordance with the NYISO Services Tariff.

The Employer will comply with federal and state safety standards, including requirements relating to first aid training, first aid equipment and the use of protective devices and equipment.

  • Compensation for Consulting Services For each quarter (i.e., three-month period) that Executive provides consulting services to MediciNova pursuant to the option of MediciNova contained in Section 9 above, MediciNova shall pay Executive a sum equal to fifteen percent (15%) of Executive’s annual Base Compensation which shall be applicable at the time of Executive’s termination of employment with MediciNova (prorated for any period of less than a quarter). The parties expressly agree that when Executive is performing consulting services for MediciNova, Executive is acting as an independent contractor. Therefore, Executive shall be solely liable for Social Security and income taxes that result from Executive’s compensation as a consultant. In addition, Executive shall not be entitled to any other benefits including, without limitation, such group medical, life and disability insurance and other benefits as may be provided to employees and/or executives of MediciNova.

  • Compensation for Basic Services 6.1.1 Compensation for Basic Services as described in Section 3.1 and 3.2 shall be as set forth in Article 11.

  • Compensation for Additional Services Additional Services shall be compensated as set forth on Exhibit A for the stipulated payment amounts set forth therein. Other Additional Services not set forth on Exhibit A that are required or requested by the Owner shall be compensated as agreed, using the methodology set forth on Exhibit A, prior to the Design Professional undertaking such Additional Services; provided, however, that if such compensation cannot be agreed, the Additional Services shall be performed at the hourly rates set forth and listed in Exhibit B, plus reimbursable expenses pursuant to Article 4.1.3 below, with a limitation as to maximum amount specified.

  • CONSULTANT’S RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to all other obligations contained herein, the Consultant agrees, warrants, and represents that: 6.1 The Consultant will furnish all material, equipment, labor and supplies in such quantities and of the proper quality to professionally and timely perform the Services, except as otherwise mutually agreed by the Parties; 6.2 The Consultant shall perform the Services with the professional skill and care ordinarily provided by competent consultants practicing in the same or similar locality and under the same or similar circumstances and professional license; 6.3 The Consultant will comply with the provisions of all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, requirements and codes which are applicable to its performance of Services; 6.4 The Consultant is not and will not be bound by any agreement and has not assumed nor will assume any obligation which would, in any way, restrict its ability to perform the Services or be inconsistent with the Services; 6.5 In performing the Services, the Consultant will not use any third party’s confidential or propriety information, or infringe the rights of another party, nor will the Consultant disclose to the Authority, or bring onto the Authority’s premises, or induce the Authority to use any third party’s confidential or proprietary information; 6.6 The Consultant does not have the authority to act for the Authority, bind the Authority in any respect, or incur any debts or liabilities in the name of or on behalf of the Authority, except as otherwise expressly authorized in writing by the Authority; 6.7 Consultant is an independent contractor for the performance of his duties under this Contract. Accordingly, the Consultant shall be responsible for payment of all taxes including federal, state and local taxes arising out of the Consultant’s activities in accordance with this Contract. Consultant is responsible for payment of the compensation, including any withholding, Social Security, or other taxes on such compensation, of any subcontractors retained by Consultant, or Consultant's employees performing Services consistent with its status as an independent contractor and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; 6.8 Consultant has and hereby retains full control of any supervision over the Consultant’s obligations hereunder and over any persons employed or subcontracted by the Consultant for performing Services hereunder; 6.9 Consultant will in no way be considered an agent, partner, joint venturer, or employee of Authority at any time during the Term. Consultant will not undertake to commit Authority to any course of action in relation to a third party unless expressly requested and authorized to do so by the Authority in writing. 6.10 As of the Effective Date and at all times while providing Services hereunder, the Consultant shall possess and maintain in good standing any and all licenses or other authorizations and approvals necessary to perform the Services.
