Conditions of Reappointment. This Agreement is for a period of one year. This Agreement will automatically renew for each subsequent year of training in the Program contingent upon Resident’s satisfactory completion of the previous post-graduate year. Appointment or reappointment (i.e. renewal) does not constitute an assurance of successful completion of the Program or post-graduate year. Satisfactory completion is based on satisfactory performance by Resident as measured by individual department standards.

Conditions of Reappointment. To be eligible for reappointment, Resident must meet all Program requirements and conditions stated herein, including behavioral, clinical, and academic requirements stated in the Handbook and in the handbook of the Resident’s respective clinical program during the previous year as determined by the Program Director.

Conditions of Reappointment. Notification of intent to reappoint or not reappoint a Housestaff physician shall be made by the Program Director before completion of the Housestaff physician's term of appointment, provided the Housestaff physician is not on probationary status. If the Housestaff physician is on probation, the conditions of probation will apply. BUMC shall use reasonable efforts to provide the Housestaff physician with as much written notice of BUMC’s intent not to reappoint as the circumstances will reasonably allow prior to the expiration of the Housestaff physician’s term of appointment. The determination not to reappoint a Housestaff physician is subject to appeal in accordance with the Appeal of Dismissal process. Any reappointment is conditioned upon successful completion of the current training year. Upon receipt of an offer of reappointment, the Housestaff physician shall notify the Program Director of his/her intent to accept or decline the reappointment as soon as possible. Promotion Housestaff physicians are promoted to the next level based on performance and evaluation of ACGME competencies. Promotion is left to the discretion of the Program Director after consultation with the Clinical Competency Committee. Conditions of Reappointment. Promotion/ reappointment shall be contingent upon Resident’s satisfactory performance of his or her obligations under this Agreement, all as determined by the Program Director, Chief Medical Officer / Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs, and the Director of Medical Education in his or her sole reasonable discretion and MCH. Resident will not complete the training program level until all requirements of this Agreement are completed, including completing training length as set forth by the program‐specific ACGME requirements, and fulfilling MCH required mandatory education requirements as stipulated in the resident’s manual.
