The school doesn’t have to report a change to enrollment status that doesn’t increase the amount the student will be paid for the year. It will have to report a change in enrollment status if a student attends for a longer period than expected and the result is a greater award. For example, if a student reported as enrolled three-quarter time decides to attend summer school as a three-quarter-time student (in addition to attending fall and spring terms three-quarter time), the school must change Enrollment Status to “Other” at the same time it reports the larger award amount. If the school leaves the student’s status as three-quarter time, RFMS assumes that the student’s three-quarter-time award is being exceeded, and the larger award amount won’t be put on file for the student. • Weeks of instructional time used to calculate payment, Credit/Clock Hours in all payment periods expected to complete this school year. The school doesn’t have to report a change to these items if the change doesn’t increase the amount the student will be paid for the year. • Weeks of instructional time in program’s definition of academic year, Credit/Clock Hours in programs definition of academic year. The school reports a change to these items only if it’s redefining its academic year. (For example, the school decides to change its 32-week academic year to 30 weeks.)
