Curricular conditions. Period of study. The standard period of study is four semesters, consisting of three semesters of course work, and a master thesis that is usually written in the fourth semester. A standard period of two consecutive semesters is taken at the host insti- tution. This can either be the second and third semester (master thesis written at the home institution), or the third and fourth semester (master thesis written at the host institution). Required credits. Students are required to gather 18 credit points from KAIST and 60 ECTS from TUB. A maximum of 3 KAIST credits can be changed into ECTS, a maximum of 9 ECTS can be changed into credit points to ensure short study times, provided that both partner institutions agree to a student’s request. The translation factor is 3.3 ECTS/credit point. Course overlap. The lectures attended at both institutions must overlap only slightly. Major requirement. Students must take at least 60 ECTS or 18 credit points in Computer Science. (The translation factor of 3.3 ECTS/credit point applies.) Minor requirement. Curricular conditions. The following paragraphs state the curricular conditions. 2.5.1 The attended courses/lectures on both universities must overlap only slightly. 2.5.2 Students of SJTU choose two areas of study (Studiengebiet) at the beginning of the third year/fifth semester. Detailed contents of their study programs need to be approved by SJTU in advance so that there will be least overlapping with courses already completed at SJTU. For consultation at TUB students have to establish a personal contact to the professors, who are in charge of those areas. In those two areas students have to choose up to 40 SWS (60 ETCS) where 1 seminar (2 SWS) and one project (6 SWS) have to be included. Altogether, a total amount of 48 SWS (72 ECTS) is required during three terms. Thus, a sufficient number of additional courses have to be chosen additionally from other areas of study. The diploma thesis (Diplomarbeit) has to be performed in one of the chosen areas within 4 to 6 months. After two years of study at TUB, the students return to SJTU in order to complete their studies. In particular, a Master's Thesis has to be performed at SJTU. 2.5.3 Students of TUB move to SJTU after having finished their undergraduate studies (Vordiplom) within 4 semesters. To receive a M. Sc. degree SJTU demands additionally 47 credit points. Thereof 15 technical and 7 non-technical credit points are required for finalizing undergraduate studie..   • Unsafe Conditions In accordance with 29 CFR § 1977, occasions might arise when an employee is confronted with a choice between not performing assigned tasks or subjecting himself/herself to serious injury or death arising from a hazardous condition at the workplace. If the employee, with no reasonable alternative, refuses in good faith to expose himself/herself to the dangerous condition, he/she would be protected against subsequent discrimination. The condition causing the employee's apprehension of death or injury must be of such a nature that a reasonable person, under the circumstances then confronting the employee, would conclude that there is a real danger of death or serious injury and that there is insufficient time, due to the urgency of the situation, to eliminate the danger by resorting to regular statutory enforcement channels. In addition, in such circumstances, the employee, where possible, must also have sought from his Employer, and been unable to obtain, a correction of the dangerous condition.

  • Work Conditions The Contractor agrees to accept sole responsibility to comply with all federal, provincial and municipal legislation which may have application to the Work and agrees to comply with all provincial and federal legislation affecting conditions of work and wage rates including the Employment Standards Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. E-6.2, the Workers Compensation Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. W-7.1, or any other laws that impose obligations in the nature of employers’ obligations. The Contractor agrees to follow the Public Service Commission Human Resource Policies 9.05 Violence in the Workplace Policy; 9.08 Drug, Alcohol, and Medication Policy, and 11.01 Policy for the Prevention and Resolution of Harassment in the Workplace while working on Government sites, in Government vehicles or alongside Government staff. The Contractor agrees to accept the full cost of doing those things required under this paragraph and will not charge or seek reimbursement from the Owner in any way, such costs having been taken into consideration and included in the rates of payment stipulated in this Agreement.

  • Unsafe Work Conditions No Employee shall be disciplined for refusal to work on a job which in the opinion of: (a) A member of a safety committee; or (b) A person designated by a safety committee; or (c) A safety officer after an on-site inspection and following discussion with a representative of the Employer, does not meet the standards established pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act.

  • Project Requirements 1. Project must conform to regulations under 24 CFR Part 92, commonly known as the HOME Regulations.

  • Adverse Weather Conditions Except in emergency conditions, the Employer shall not require an employee to work outside under extreme weather conditions.

  • Performance Requirements A. There is no guaranteed minimum amount of work which will be ordered under this Contract. B. The total Contract amount will not exceed $4,900,000. C. This is a Contract for work specified in individual Job Orders. Work ordered prior to but not completed by the expiration of the Contract period, and any additional work required as a result of unforeseen conditions encountered during construction up to six (6) months after the contract expiration date, will be completed with all provisions of this Contract still in force. Performance time for each Job Order issued under this Contract will be determined in accordance with the Contract.   • Safe Conditions Whenever an employee reports a condition which the employee feels represents a violation of safety or health rules and regulations or which is an unreasonable hazard to persons or property, such conditions shall be promptly investigated. The appropriate administrator shall reply to the concern, in writing, if the employee's concern is communicated in writing.

  • Test conditions 6.1.1. The test shall be performed on a flat, dry concrete or asphalt surface affording good adhesion. 6.1.2. The ambient temperature shall be between 0°C and 45°C. 6.1.3. The horizontal visibility range shall allow the target to be observed throughout the test.

  • SUPERIOR CONDITIONS 21.01 All existing benefits, rights, privileges, practices, terms or conditions of employment which may be considered to be superior to those contained herein and which are set out in Appendix 4 are specifically retained by this Agreement unless otherwise agreed by the local parties. The parties agree to remove from Appendix 4 those superior conditions which no longer have application. Where the parties cannot agree on whether a superior condition continues to have application, the issue will be reduced to a grievance and referred to arbitration. 21.02 The Union and the Participating Hospitals agree to establish a committee consisting of two (2) representatives of the Union and two (2) representatives of the Participating Hospitals to review the superior conditions appendices in each of the participating hospitals. This committee will report to their respective negotiating committees prior to the next round of central negotiations.
