Departmental Review Committee. (a) There shall be a Departmental Review Committee (DRC) in each Department for which there is an application for renewal, tenure or promotion.

Departmental Review Committee. If a Faculty Member’s initial appointment is at Associate Professor, they will be offered a four-year contract subject to approval at year two by a Departmental Review Committee. If there is a favorable department contract renewal review and the Vice President of Academic Affairs approves the review, the Faculty Member may complete the balance of their initial four-year contract.
Departmental Review Committee. The Departmental Review Committee shall consist of three NTT members from the faculty member’s home department with a title above or equal to the sought title. If there is an insufficient number of NTT faculty in the home department the petitioner may choose to fill those positions in one of two ways: • TT faculty member(s) from the home department • NTT faculty member(s) from within the applicant’s college The Departmental Review Committee will review the applicant’s petition based on the criteria established in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The committee will make a recommendation to the department head or equivalent by April 15th. The recommendation will: • Indicate if the candidate is or is not recommended for title advancement • Provide a rationale for recommendation as determined by the interpretation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement guidelines and departmental criteria.
