Discipline Time Limits. A. An offense shall be valid for not more than two (2) years from the date of occurrence. Documents relating to offenses which are more than two (2) years old shall not be considered in rendering the appropriate level of discipline for a current offense.
Discipline Time Limits. The Employer shall discipline within three (3) days of the event giving rise to the discipline or within three (3) days of notice of such event, whichever shall occur later. However, for employees who only work weekends, disciplines must be issued no later than four (4) shifts when the employee works following the event giving rise to the discipline or notice of such event. The time limits specified shall be deemed exclusive of Saturday, Sunday, holidays and the employee’s scheduled days off; for employees who only work weekends, Saturdays and Sundays shall not be excluded from the time limits. These time limits may be waived upon request. Such request shall not be unreasonably denied.
Discipline Time Limits. The Employer shall have fourteen (14) calendar days after the discovery of employee performance issues to complete the investigation, any investigatory meetings, and provide final written notice of discipline to the employee. This time limit may be extended by mutual agreement of both parties. If the deadline is not met, no disciplinary action against the employee shall be taken, and all related documents shall be removed from the employee’s file. All discipline that falls under the Performance Counseling process shall expire and be removed from the employee’s file no later than one (1) year, after the most recent related disciplinary event. After each expiration, any disciplinary action that is related to a previous, but expired, disciplinary action shall start a new performance counseling progression at the lowest applicable level.
