Displacement of Vacation Leave. If, during vacation leave, an employee is seriously impaired or hospitalized due to illness or accident, the employee may request to defer such lost vacation days to a subsequent date. At the Company’s request, the employee shall submit a detailed medical certificate from the treating physician or hospital for the review of the Benefits Administrator and/or the third party assessor retained by Human Resources. Should the employee’s request be granted by said Administrator and/or assessor, the employee and Manager involved shall re-schedule said vacation days at a mutually agreeable time.
Displacement of Vacation Leave. Where in respect of any period of vacation leave, an employee is: granted bereavement leave, or granted sick leave on production of a medical note; the period of vacation leave so displaced shall either be added to the vacation period upon approval of re-scheduling with the employer, or reinstated for use at a later date. The employee is responsible for notifying the employer of such circumstances when it occurs.
