Doctorate Degree. A stipend shall be paid to those teachers and all support personnel who hold a Doctorate Degree. (See Certificated Salary Schedule.)
Doctorate Degree. 16 2.3.1 One thousand five hundred dollars($1,500.00) will be added to Column V of the salary 17 schedule for an earned doctorate from an accredited college or university.
Doctorate Degree. A Doctorate degree shall be recognized for a salary increment if it was earned at a regionally accredited university in a subject or field which the Maryland State Department of Education has recognized through the issuance of a certificate at the bachelor's or master's level of preparation. An additional increment shall be paid to any teacher holding a Doctorate degree who is eligible in accordance with the provisions of this item.
Doctorate Degree. As of July 1, 2004 the School Board shall pay full-time principals and assistant principals a $1,500 per year stipend to those who presently have, or obtain a doctorate degree in education or a doctorate degree in a field directly related to education. The Superintendent or delegated representative of the Superintendent will have final authority to determine whether a doctorate degree is eligible for a stipend. The parties agree that the issue of whether a doctorate degree is eligible for a stipend is not grievable.
Doctorate Degree. Equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree plus four (4) years’ experience.
Doctorate Degree. Full-time faculty hired mid-year will be initially placed on the salary schedule in the same manner as those hired for the full academic year and their salary will be prorated accordingly.
Doctorate Degree. Members who provide certification of completion of the Doctorate Degree shall receive a one-time payment of $2,000 in the year in which the Doctorate is awarded, and evidence is presented to the District. Current members who have completed the Doctorate Degree while employed with the District prior to the term of this contract shall receive such payment retroactively.
Doctorate Degree a. The salary differential for the doctorate is not payable for honorary degrees, the degree of Juris Doctor, or degrees earned from non-accredited institutions.
b. For currently employed staff, approval by the Superintendent must be received prior to the commencement of the course of study. The course of study for the Doctorate Degree must be in a field related to the teaching assignment, as determined by the Superintendent. Teachers will have the opportunity to present to the Superintendent justification for receiving Doctorate credit. Current employees who have been accepted to a doctoral program prior to January 1, 2004 are grandfathered, subject to the provisions of paragraph 3a above.
c. For teachers entering the District who have already completed a Doctorate Degree or are in the process of completing the degree, approval for remuneration for the degree must be obtained from the Superintendent who will use the same standard set forth for currently employed staff. There will be no credit hour compensation except for credits earned while employed in North Colonie and approved in advance by the Superintendent.
d. Remuneration for credit hours will be received until the completion of the degree and the teacher moves to the Doctorate scale.
Doctorate Degree. 35:6.1 Credit for an earned Doctorate Degree may be recognized by the differentials specified in the Ph.D. salary track, depending on the importance and use of this degree in the assignment of the teacher holding the degree, and under the following conditions:
35:6.2 Work on the Doctorate must be in a field in which the teacher is certified and in which he teaches.
35:6.3 Final implementation of this salary factor will be made by the Board of Education on recommendation of the Superintendent.
Doctorate Degree. A Doctorate Degree is defined as a degree earned in a traditional doctoral program, and does not include doctoral degrees earned in an on-line program.
