Donation of Holiday Time to IUPA. A. The IUPA shall collect from each consenting member of the Bargaining Unit who has agreed to and executed the appropriate form; two (2) hours of earned Holiday time, for the IUPA Time Bank. Said time will be used at the discretion of the IUPA President or his designee(s) for the purpose of the IUPA business. B. The initial two (2) hours of Holiday time will be collected by the City on the second pay period after final ratification of this Agreement by both Parties. For new members of the Bargaining Unit, the City will collect the two (2) hours of Holiday time the next pay period after receipt of the deduction authorization. The deductions shall continue on an annual basis (the first pay period in October of each Fiscal Year) unless the deduction is canceled by the employee. C. At no time shall the aforementioned IUPA Time Bank donations exceed 480 hours for a fiscal year; however, all time bank hours can be carried over into the next year and must be used on or before September 30 of the fiscal year following the fiscal year accrued.

For new members of the Bargaining Unit, the union will collect the two (2) hours of Holiday time by November 15th of every year by consent only. C. When requesting use of the IUPA Time Bank the proper form shall be used which will indicate the date of the negotiations or other union business and the amount of the time to be withdrawn from the IUPA Time Bank. D. At no time shall the aforementioned IUPA Time Bank donations from Section 5a and Section 5b exceed 680 hours for a fiscal year; however, all time bank hours can be carried over into the next year and must be used on or before September 30 of the fiscal year following the fiscal year accrued.

  • List of Holidays The Employer recognizes the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Christmas Day Easter Monday Boxing Day Victoria Day Civic Holiday (deferred to Christmas Shutdown) Canada Day Plus, any other day(s) declared or proclaimed as a Statutory Holiday by the Federal or Provincial Government. The Employer shall post a list no later than December 15th of each year stating on which day the Civic Holiday and any other deferred holiday will be observed.

  • Monday to Saturday Time and a-half for the first three hours and double time thereafter.

  • HOLIDAYS THAT FALL ON A SATURDAY For those employees assigned to a work week of Monday through Friday, and in the event a legal holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a holiday; provided, however, that except where the Governor declares that such preceding Friday shall be a legal holiday, each department head shall make provision for the staffing of public offices under his/her jurisdiction on such preceding Friday so that said public offices may serve the public. Those employees who work on a Friday which is observed as a holiday in lieu of a holiday falling on Saturday shall be allowed a day off in lieu thereof as scheduled by the appointing officer in the current fiscal year.

  • Number of Holidays (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only)

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Personal Holiday Each employee is entitled to a personal holiday as governed by the provisions of section 110.117, Florida Statutes.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday ‌ For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holidays on Saturday or Sunday When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday. When a holiday falls on Sunday, the following workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.
