DRYWALL / LATHER APPRENTICE PROGRAM. Section 1. The Employers and the Union, recog- nizing the need for a skilled work force, shall maintain a recognized and approved apprenticeship and edu- cation program. Said program will be organized and operated in full compliance with the Xxxxxx-Xxxxxxx Act of the State of California. Section 2. A local Joint Apprenticeship and Train- ing Committee comprising equal representation from the employers and the Union shall administer the apprenticeship and training program in accordance with local working conditions and Article XII, Section 1 of this Agreement. The WWCCA shall appoint the employer representatives, and the Executive Secre- tary of the Regional Council shall appoint the labor representatives of the Joint Apprenticeship and Train- ing Committees. Section 3. Employers shall contribute into the appropriate trust fund account an amount set forth in Article XX, Section 6 for each hour worked by all employees covered under this Agreement. Said con- tributions are to be used to fund the training program. Section 4. Wages, fringe benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment of apprentices and/or trainees shall be in accordance with this Agreement. Section 5. All monies collected by the Joint Adjustment Board as assessments, damages, or the like, in excess of the amounts needed to pay the nec- xxxxxx and reasonable expenses of the Joint Adjust- ment Board or the grievance procedure shall be transferred to the Apprenticeship and Training Trust Fund to be used solely and exclusively for the pur- poses specified in the Trust Agreement applicable thereto. Section 6. The parties to the Agreement herewith Section 7. The ratio of apprentices to journeymen shall be one (1) apprentice for the first two (2) jour- neymen after the xxxxxxx and an additional appren- xxxx for every three (3) journeymen thereafter. Section 8. There is established by this Agree- ment a Southern California Drywall/Lather Apprentice Advisory Committee. This Advisory Committee shall be comprised of a management member, a labor member from the Joint Apprenticeship/Training Trust, a representative of the Western Wall and Ceiling Contractors Association, and a representative of the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters. The pur- pose of the Advisory Committee is to meet on a reg- ular basis, to exchange information, to coordinate mutual endeavors, and to promote uniformity of Apprentice Programs throughout the State of Califor- nia.   • Adult Apprentices 26.1 Adult apprentices are apprentices who commence their apprenticeship at the age of 21 years or older. Adult apprentices engaged under any of the classifications set out in Appendix 1 and will be paid a minimum rate equal to the rate of pay for a second-year apprentice, for the first two years of the apprenticeship, then on parity with other apprentices for the third and fourth years.

  • Apprentice Wages (a) Apprentices’ rates of pay are set out in Appendix B which includes the description of the calculations.

  • Apprenticeship Program The parties agree to meet to discuss the development of mutually agreeable apprenticeship programs. The specific provisions of the apprenticeship programs shall be subject to agreement between the City, the Civil Service Commission (where appropriate), and the Union. Each apprenticeship program, however, shall contain at least the following terms:

  • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure compliance with this Article and with Labor Code Section 1777.5 for all apprenticeable occupations. 6.36.2 Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1777.5 if that Section applies to this Contract as indicated above, the Contractor and any subcontractors under him employing workers in any apprenticeable craft or trade in performing any work under this Contract shall apply to the applicable joint apprenticeship committee for a certificate approving the Contractor or subcontractor under the applicable apprenticeship standards and fixing the ratio of apprentices to journeymen employed in performing the work. 6.36.3 Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1777.5 if that Section applies to this Contract as indicated above, he Contractor and any subcontractor under him may be required to make contributions to the apprenticeship program. 6.36.4 The Contractor and all subcontractors under him shall comply with Labor Code Section 1777.6 which Section forbids certain discriminatory practices in the employment of apprentices.

  • Apprentice Employment and

  • Apprenticeship Requirements The Contractor shall comply with Section 230.1(A), California Code of Regulations as required by the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards by submitting DAS Form to the Joint Apprenticeship Committee of the craft or trade in the area of the site.

  • Television Equipment Recycling Program If this Contract is for the purchase or lease of covered television equipment, then Contractor certifies that it is compliance with Subchapter Z, Chapter 361 of the Texas Health and Safety Code related to the Television Equipment Recycling Program.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Apprenticeship 7.01 At such time, the parties agree to a training program, it is agreed to contact the California Nevada JATC to establish such program.

  • Quality Management System Supplier hereby undertakes, warrants and confirms, and will ensue same for its subcontractors, to remain certified in accordance with ISO 9001 standard or equivalent. At any time during the term of this Agreement, the Supplier shall, if so instructed by ISR, provide evidence of such certifications. In any event, Supplier must notify ISR, in writing, in the event said certification is suspended and/or canceled and/or not continued.
