Early Notification Incentive. 1. An employee may make notice of his resignation or retirement from USD 434 by 14 days after the 3rd Friday in May in compliance with the continuing contract law. If an employee wishes to make notice of his resignation or retirement before the following date, the employee shall be compensated as follows: • $1,000 if the employee notifies the Board by October 1st 2. Early Notification Incentive. Employees who meet eligibility requirements of Subd. 2 of this Section and who complete, sign and submit a Resignation Notice form to the Director of Human Resources three months prior to retirement will receive a District contribution of $2,500 to the Severance Plan.

Early Notification Incentive. Any teacher eligible to retire and has at least ten (10) years of service with the District shall receive an incentive of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for providing the District with early notification of retirement. Teachers eligible for retirement on or before June 30 must retire between May 31 and August 1 of that year and must notify the Board in writing of their resignation for retirement purposes by December 1 to qualify for the incentive.

Teachers notifying the school district by February 1, 2025 of the intention to retire or resign at the end of the 2024-2025 school year will receive a $300.00 stipend payable at the end of the teacher’s current contract. Early Notification Incentive. Professional Employees who are approved for retirement by the Board of Education prior to October 20th will receive a one-time payment of $500. Professional Employees who are approved for retirement by the Board of Education prior to January 20th will receive a one-time payment of $250. The payment will be made with the first appropriate payroll following the acceptance of the retirement by the Board of Education.
Early Notification Incentive. If a Professional Employee knows he/she will not return in the fall, it would be helpful if he/she would notify the President’s Office as soon as possible, in order to allow time to secure a suitable replacement. If resignation is received by February 1st, an early notice incentive compensation of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250) will be paid at the end of the contract period.
