Educational Exit. An employee may leave the employ of the Company after completion of one (1) year continuous service and upon approval of the Company in order to attend an accredited college or university, or a recognized trade or vocational school and shall be reinstated upon application provided he/she can qualify under the seniority rules, is physically capable of performing the work required, is granted a clearance, and applies for reemployment within thirty (30) days after leaving the college, university, or school. Trade or vocational school for purposes of this clause is one which provides training or a course of study related to jobs performed for the Company. Upon reinstatement, the employee shall be given the service he/she had when he/she left the Company, plus time spent in school, not to exceed four (4) years. The employee shall notify the employer in writing of the name of the school, the date of entry, and the expected length of the course of study. He/she shall confirm the continuation of his/her school attendance at annual intervals thereafter, subject to quarterly review. It is understood that the employee will not be eligible for any Company benefits while on an educational exit. The employee must return to the active payroll before becoming eligible for contractual benefits.

  • Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

  • Educational Program A. DSST PUBLIC SCHOOLS shall implement and maintain the following characteristics of its educational program in addition to those identified in the Network Contract at DSST XXXX MIDDLE SCHOOL (“the School” within Exhibit A-3).   • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Education Reimbursement The County will provide education reimbursement for education costs incurred by regular employees who apply for such reimbursement in accordance with the policies and procedures governing the education reimbursement program. The maximum reimbursement shall be $1,500 per year.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Educational Assistance Section 1. Tuition reimbursement shall be provided to employees covered by this collective bargaining AGREEMENT under the same terms and conditions, policies and procedures as the rest of Hennepin County and reflecting a county–wide pool for funding. Where courses are required and certified by the appointing authority as essential to current job performance, such appointing authority shall grant 100% reimbursement for tuition, required fees and required study materials. Human Resources will be a source of career information, and postings, in which the employee may have an interest. Time allotted for this activity and the training plan adopted shall be subject to mutual agreement of the Employee and Supervisor.
